Bournemouth James 0 Posted February 6, 2004 Just been to tescos to draw some money out, parked in the waiting bay, while i was at the cash point, someone reversed into the front of me The good news is that the guy owned up and has agreed to pay for the damage The bad news is that the metal strip underneath the headlights and grill was the part that was damaged, now i've heard that these are quite expensive to replace, and i dont think the guy was expecting it to be expensive to repair cause it doesent look that bad Its not a serious dent so im thinking the body shop will pull the dent out and smooth it over

Ka` 0 Posted February 6, 2004 Hiya, Bad luck... Make sure you get compensated. I've heard the amount of £700 being mentioned when it comes to the slam panel, and I suppose replacing it is going to cost some man hours. I myself got a quote for £450 + VAT + labour when I wanted mine swapped due to previous owner. Had it straightened instead for £150 There's a thread about someone else wanting to sort that bar out here --> clicky There's a picture of the damage I had sorted for £150 as well HTH, Cheers, Rica
