Strange Goings On - Dashboard.......

Recommended Posts

Maybe someone can shed some light on this. For some reason, my dasboard clock and trip meter Zero'd out and went blank yesterday afternoon. I reset the clock to the correct time then switched the ignigtion off. When i turned it back on again the clock was back to Zero. This was on MFA setting 1, so i tried the same on MFA2 and exactly the same thing happened. Also my interior courtesy light is now not working.

And.... strangest of all, my Alarm/Immobiliser has also gone out in sympathy in that when i lock the car, the central locking activates and i get my usual beep, beep beep. Then about 10-15 seconds later, i get a set of three double beeps which is the 'there's something wrong' type beep.

Anyone got any ideas on this one?

Cheers

Double check the fuses !

There`s 2 fuses for the MFA ! one`s a constant live,one`s a an ignition live,have a careful look at the fuses,

good luck

My central locking fuse blew which also caused the MFA settings to keep resetting themselves, its a single one on top of the fuse box about 30amp i think (or maybe 20amp). It would make sense if the alarm system is making more noise because its probably realising that its not locking. My car beeps again if i close the door and not lock it properly...
