kirade 0 Posted August 3, 2011 I have a late spec and the heater controls are not illuminated, should they be?
Purple Tom 0 Posted August 3, 2011 Yep. Fairly common for the bulbs to blow but they're easily replaceable. However even with the bulb working the illumination isn't that great

Pat_McCrotch 0 Posted August 4, 2011 Out of interest. Is it the low wattage in the bulb that stops light going all the way through or the fascia plate breaking up?
RW1 0 Posted August 4, 2011 Out of interest. Is it the low wattage in the bulb that stops light going all the way through or the fascia plate breaking up? Yes it is a 1.2 watt bulb but I would not think about uprating it as that will have longer term an effect on the plastic light pipes that start near the bulb to get the light around the controller. Being in a confined space with not real ventilation, uprating could affect the light pipe pickup edges like inside the headlight switch. .
daves16v 1 Posted August 4, 2011 As a cheap fix I tried using a super bright LED, don't waste your money it doesn't work.
