OllieVR6 0 Posted October 10, 2011 Hopefully this is just a quick one, but I wanted to check! I was on a dual carriage way the other day and the wind noise from the passenger side was immense, sounded like the window was almost all the way down (it wasn't). At the moment I have fairly limited interior, there are no under dash trays, carpet or roof lining whilst I'm waiting to fix the leak (which is coming from the top corner of the windscreen, passenger side). Considering how much of the interior is out and the leak around the windscreen, would you expect bad wind noise? Or is there something else that needs to be investigated? Ta! boost monkey 0 Posted October 10, 2011 does your missus have bad gas? If not, then you will get a lot more road noise without the interior in. A common thing to go is the door seals on the C. They look ok but they don't have to be deformed by much to let the wind noise in. Might be worth checking those over.
OllieVR6 0 Posted October 10, 2011 Haha, I've been with her 4 years and I think she has only farted once, and even that might have been me ;) I have some new(er) seals in the garage I will definitely check that out. Now that you have mentioned it, I guess that is the only place to check, unless there is anything in the bulk head that could be missing a grommet or some such? How much adjustment is there in terms of the door and the pressure put on the seals? I have recently fitted new strikers and noticed that they have a small amount of movement, perhaps I messed up the alignment?
