KofiD 10 Posted November 11, 2011 (edited) Hi guys, I am fitting an audi A4 Clocks to my Corrado 1.8. I was wondering if anybody had any idea of how to do this? if it will work etc. I am going to give it a go anyway, but just in case anybody has any ideas on how to do it, I thought i might aswell ask Thanks Ryan :) Edit : Missing info (was asking about clocks) Edited November 11, 2011 by KofiD
tony_ack 0 Posted November 11, 2011 I'm sure some people have tried this. I haven't but I've got an Audi A4 and a Corrado, and had the dash out on both! I'm pretty sure the heater box holes won't line up to the Corrado bulkhead, so you'll have to do some messing around there. Also the fusebox is on the side of the dash (accessible with the door open on the A4), but it is under the dash on the Corrado, so you may have to relocate that? The Audi dash is a lot deeper too, but that may just be cosmetic. There will be a lot of rewiring. Make sure you get the stalks from an Avant if you need to control the rear wiper. Thanks a lot! that does help a bit, even though i've already started :') I was asking about the clocks, how do they connect up? both the same? or very different? I'll get wiring diagrams and have a look later on too. Thanks Ryan
tony_ack 0 Posted November 11, 2011 Very different, not plug and play... but I found this - it's for B5s but it should give you an idea of the work involved. http://forums.audiworld.com/showthread.php?t=2797763 Ignore the stuff about immobilizers, it's only 98-99 cars in the UK that had the immobilizer built into the clocks. You can get around it with VAGTacho anyway. Is the B6 CANBUS as well?
KofiD 10 Posted November 11, 2011 Wow, Thanks a lot for finding that :) I will have a look later on when i get home :) (at work now, all the pictures are blocked:( ) I am very excited about all of this, I would love a spare A4 to rip all the parts out of and stick in the Corrado! but im only 19 and don't have that much money haha! awesome, I'm glad you have been able to point me in the right direction mate, cheers! Also I have no idea whether its CANBUS or not :( Ryan
