m4ttj4mes 10 Posted January 23, 2012 hey all, im sure we're all familiar with how amazing the corrado headlight looms are (!) but i have a problem with high beam - they dont work! the car seems to have always had starnge lights since i brought it, but it seems different to the usual comments about crud lights... so, sidelights come on okay (green light on switch), dipped beam comes on okay (light goes out on switch), as you flick the stalk to high beam though (at the point where you would be flashing someone etc) its really nice and bright, but then as you let go it goes dimmer than when the stalk is held back if you know what i mean! in other words, high beam is still brighter than dipped beam, but still not as bright as the momment the stalk is pulled towards you... and to make things better, high beam stopped working all together today (when the stalk is pulled towards you they work but as soon as you let go - demanding high beam - there are no lights at all! and no blue light on the dash to say they're on). are all the fuses under the dash (drivers footwell)? or are there seperate ones for the lights? also, i did the good deed of adding a blade fuse in the earth wire behind the switch in cab (although mine was top right as though looking at the switch, not top left as said in the 'how to guide'...?) and noticed some s****tly done wiring consiting of twisting them together and a bit of tape - i have since soldered all these properly but to no gain (other than satisfaction!) i was wondering how hard it would be to make up a FULL loom for the lights/possibly horns etc too (as all the wiring looks crappy to be honest), and if anyone can find a diagram of the complete headlight loom (not just the part people are replacing with the uprated section - or is it built into the entire car loom? i have all the gear to make one and maplins is only 20mins away... any advice at the momment would be appreciated! sorry for the essay
