Roger Chatfield 0 Posted February 6, 2015 Morning Chums, The heated rear window on the Panzerwagon doesn't work (amongst many other things..lol) Basically only two strips of the element work so there are obviously breaks in the rest... someone has attempted a repair but it hasn't been successful. So, can anyone recommend a repair kit, i know you can get some paint on stuff but what are peoples experience. Rog.
timmaaah 0 Posted February 6, 2015 I'd also be interested to know as the 'rado has three elements that no longer work.
davidwort 0 Posted February 6, 2015 (edited) used to be able to get silver paint for it, I could do with some for one bar on my golf, bugged me for years  the Halfords Granville stuff has really bad reviews! to be fair I think it depends on the break, a small scratch might be OK but I don't think it would repair say a 1-2cm torn off piece of element for £2 I might try this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00HNHUZ08/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_dp_ss_1?pf_rd_p=569136327&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B00B2U0BU6&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_r=0JFDGMZX2H8FDTANB1F9 but 2 weeks from China, by then the frost will have gone  Edited February 6, 2015 by davidwort

Kevin Bacon 5 Posted February 6, 2015 Smash the window and get it replaced under your insurance's glass cover. Just say you were parked up in a layby and a passing HGV flicked up a stone.

Kevin Bacon 5 Posted February 6, 2015 Yeah why not? Dishonest, yes. Nice fresh glass with a 100% working heater element, yes. Win win :) My Corrado's rear screen had micro scratching on it from years of rear wiper scrubbing it. It was always visible in certain lights and irritated me a bit!
