help please - mild loss of wheel grip on passenger side when taking off in first gear

Hi has anyone come across this problem? Took it to my local garage (ESP in Long Easton) but they were not sure of the cause so were reluctant to advise/guess a fix which might include the clutch and/or gear box. It still drives well after taking off but worried in case it escalates into something major!

 

Any help would be appreciated

Are you bootin it when driving off? I'd say it's quite normal, especially as it's fwd..

Does the car's gearbox have Vw's Version of lsd fitted? of which i can't remember what it was called, like esp or something similar.

Hi thanks for getting back to me. No, not really booting it and it never used to do it and i`ve had it for over 10 years. Something is up, just not sure what!
