Ford 0 Posted September 29, 2004 Finally got some pictures of the silver VR6 I ended up buying with the help of the CF. Reasonably original, except for Koni suspension, powerflow exhaust (which I am planning on changing), Momo steering wheel and eyebrow spoiler - recently removed. Done 105k and has had the timing chain done, as well as new head gasket and valve rebuild. Just put her through a full service and gave her a 300 mile run this last weekend. Andy Brookes 0 Posted September 29, 2004 Its a replica of mine..... needs a bit of bodywork but mechanically sorted. Mine even came with a grill spoiler, which i ripped off on the first day. Enjoy.

dinkus 10 Posted September 29, 2004 Looking good, I must say I do like silver ones rather a lot 8) You make it sound like they're common though!!
Ford 0 Posted September 29, 2004 Cheers for comments guys :D , You make it sound like they're common though!! Good point Dinkus, don't know why I said 'another' in the subject box? Title now changed. I had never seen a silver one on the road before I bought mine, so should have known better. Been keeping an eye on Andy Brookes' and OSV's Silver C's in members gallery, maybe that's why I said another?

Been keeping an eye on Andy Brookes' and OSV's Silver C's in members gallery, maybe that's why I said another? They are both awesome C's and a lot to live up to! If I can restore my C to anything close to those then I will be very, very happy indeed. Would love to get black leather one day. One step at a time though got to get the body work done - note I only took photo's of the passenger side of the car. Nasty dent in the rear drivers side wing :( ... on the list for next month's expenses. Yeah, the list is only going to get longer :( If you want a common colour, try Aqua Blue Pearl  :D

Insomniak, your C looks pretty mint and original except for wheels, you got any more photo's? Checked out your car in members gallery and just the one photo. Ford 0 Posted November 29, 2004 New exhaust! Yes! Got a magnex oval cat back, bye bye powerflow and that 4 1/2" tailpipe. We had a look at the powerflow after it was off, very poor welding! I was meant to put the cat back on but the one I found was'nt good enough so will stick with the decat pipe for now, maybe try and source an original cat from somewhere or get a sports cat sometime in the future... Very very happy with the magnex, fits the bumper perfectly and looks awesome!!! Also sounds great! So much better than the powerflow!

Better add me to the list then. Looking to replace the side repeaters but I dont like the white looking cheap ones however the crystal ones are a bit too bling for me. Ford 0 Posted November 29, 2004 Looking to replace the side repeaters but I dont like the white looking cheap ones however the crystal ones are a bit too bling for me. Yeah likewise, I had cheap white ones on the C when I bought it, but they were terrible, one was actually filled with water when I took it off!!! I found some originals and put those on, but would'nt mind some smoked repeaters.
coullstar 0 Posted November 29, 2004 Not to keen on smoked as I prefer them to blend in with the cars colour.

I was needing a shot of my car on Solitudes aswell, so cheers for that (got any more?). I really like the 16s and they look great on your car, they sit really well and look OE.
