2.0 16v | nugget yellow | wigan, greater manchester Price: 500 Description: hi guys, seems ive run into a bit of trouble with my bus, piston has shattered to peices and with the bus being our main car and me being skint, she has to take priority and my corrado project has to go :(. She is nugget yellow and was origially fitted with a 1.8 16v however now has a 2.0 16v engine. She is more a project, i picked her up in not the best of condition however a machine polish has brought her up looking pretty great for a 20 odd year old motor, few rist scabs on bottom of drivers door but is only surface and be very easy to fill in and blow over. I have recentley fitted a set of jamex coilovers fully adjustable and it has a set of tsw's which are apparently worth around £150... they have good tyres and arnt in the worst of condition. interior is pretty clean, slight rip in drivers bolster cloth trim however full leather sets can be picked up for around 200 ish ive noticed on ebay and is missing one of the door card speaker covers again quite cheap to pick up other than that interior is pretty good. She dosent run now i have fitted a new distributor and leads (old ones in boot) and a new fuel pump unit, not just the fuel pump, but the whole black box, she now has a very good spark and fuel is getting to the injectors, she turns over and back fires, she just needs the airbox hooking up baisically with vacuum lines in the picture attatched it number 3 and 4 she needs and thats it she should be happily running. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=81907 heres a build thread i started, some nice pics here. Any who it pains me to do it as i really would like to keep but has been a very rubbish month. I will let it go for 500 as i need cash asap to sort out my bus, i have engine bits every where and the mrs is not amused, plus i have no transport till she is done. Hopefully somebody on her can rescue her. If anybody would like to contact me my number is 07730367287 also, the exhaust is with her, just the centre pipe isnt attached, also has other bits i,e digtal dials think they show 60k, the original miles on the rado is showing 97K. V5 present but that is all.She does need little tlc but off say 400-500 you could have a spot on rado thats to get her running, leather trim, stainless system mot, service etc. cheers

i had a look at this earlier, my main issue is tools, some upstanding member of society found that my taxes in the form of his job seekers allowance wasnt enough and broke into my old mans garage whilse i was away and helped himself to around 5 grands worth of snap on kit. I maay just do that pal it been rebuilt at some point or other as the block is green which ii am lead to believe is a big boys toys block. Have to find some one able to bore out cylinders near me if im going to do her proper, thanks for the advise mate

seems my piston rings have gone on a very tight month, i would do it myself although im not all that confident. I could get the rings etc and wouldnt mind lending a hand doing it to help if ever happens again in the future. Could anybody help out? i could get the bus recovered to wherever in the north west cheers. This little mishap may result in me having to sell my yellow corrado :(

cheers for that buddy, new fuel pump on and now getting fuel all the way to the injectors, had a few back fires so probably looking at either bad timing or something to do with the air side of things, seemed the person who had it before me put coil leads in the wrong order of the dizzy so ive switched them around however thhere seems to be some regulators and vacuum hoses missing from the induction hose, so i think it should just be down to that why it wont start now fingers crossed. This is the problem with buying somebody elses half arsed job you dont know what theyve done or not done haha. thanks for your help si fingers crossed she will be running by some point this week, she is only supposed to be a slow moving project but i feel sorry for it so already stuck her some coilovers on and splashed out a little :) -
hi could anybody help me out, ive bought a none runner which is missing bits etc just trying to figure what goes where and what is missing etc there seems to be some sort of regulator missing which forks off the bottom of the induction hose, and also vacuum pipes etc does anybody have a diagram ? sort of like an electrical one or better still could somebody upload a pic of theres and label the parts and where the vacuum hoses go from and go too ? hopefully should have her running if i get this sorted cheers lads
-
hi im not entirely sure what the parts are called but it seems my motor is missing a few bits, i basically only have the airbox with fuel pipes forking off to injectors, and the pipe that runs to the throttle body, there seems to be some sort of regulator coming off the bottom of the induction pipe? i need that any way and the vacuum hoses, may be easier if someones breaking an entire car to say i need the air box and hoses the only part i dont need is the fuel lines and the the bit that bolts on top of air box, sorry if this dosent make much sense, any body able to help me out ? im in the north west

sprayed the minging wheels that are on it to make it look nicer whilse im working on it, and slammed it on coilovers, miles better

If this is right http://the-corrado.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=48481&d=1312923269 then so was my hinch and the sparkys were plugged in wrong however ive just blasted out the engine bay so will have to wait till tomorrow till i try ---------- Post added at 10:23 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:21 PM ---------- cheers pal i shall have a go tomorrow :)

nice !only the best have a transporter and corrado haha. I need a garage like that :( Shall be fitting coilovers tomorrow and fitted new fuel pump, now getting fuel all the way to the cylinders which is good however still not starting:( i think its a problem with either the timing or vacuum hoses somewhere as the closest she gets to starting is backfiring. as stupid as it sounds it may even be something as silly as the leads are in the wrong order of the distributor which would technically be causing the sparks to fire at the wrong time like bad timing. does anybody have a picture of which leads goes to which cylinder ? It just dosent seem right (not my stupid mistake, they are on how i bought it) getting a good powerful spark i just think its at the wrong time lol and also any pics of their vacuum hoses going to where so i can make sure shes all good on that side, she is a 16v 2.0 pressuming the same as a 1.8 16v cheers guys

Did a bit on her today, traced signals right to the plug which goes in to the fuel pumps and the fuel pumps arnt kicking in, after some helpful advise off one of the lads on here i have tested both units and am getting nothing so i have just won an under body one (with swirl pot one) on ebay for 11 quid so happy days. Hopefully it will arrive soon and i can get her booted over. found a new in tank unit on ebay for £30 quid so shall be ordering one of them this week. Also had a good look underneath today and she looks very well under there apart from missing the center section of the exhaust, pikeys ehh..... main thing though is to get her running then i can get giddy with the new interior, cat back system, coilovers, wheels and maybe even an MOT ! haha

hi dont suppose you have swirlpot fuel pump unit and the in tank fuel pump do you pal? -

got to get the old girl running yet fella, dosent start yet but i think ive sourced the problem as the fuel pump, then she needs mot, and i wouldnt want to be seen in public with such wheels on her haha, if i get her done in time ill shoot up, or maybe even totter over in the bus to see what standards i need to be doing her at haha cheers for the invite dude -
hi if anyone has them lying around or is breaking one could you let me know please cheers ---------- Post added at 4:45 PM ---------- Previous post was at 4:43 PM ---------- im in the north west

tried this, getting no noise at all from either pump, think its safe to say they are knackered, about the in tank pump however it dosent have a twin plug, it has 4 connectors if that makes a difference ?
