Cant i get a set of leads with this attached,seems a bit daft to take brand new leads apart.

Ok well now my car has had the wrong knock sensors on it for a while . it had 054905377 and 054905377g i have replaced 1 with 054905377a have yet to replace the other . i have had the car for 6 years and never had a problem so maybe they cant of done too much damage. The garage has again run a diognostic with his (SYIKKES ?)hand held computer that plugs into the gearstick area.? and thre was 1 fault code ,no the knock sensor but CLOSED THROTTLE POSITION SWITCH. I HAVE driven the car with only 1 knock sensor attached ,didnt make any differnce also with the throttle position switch unpluged ,still the same. Right this car has now had replaced both fuel pumps plugs distibuter cap rotar arm second hand (fuel injection metering head sensors and airflow plate) 1 Knock sensor. The car is still the same so rather thatn buy anything else im taking it to the main vw dealer next week.As its costing a fortune.

well i replaced the knock sensor ,and the car is the same .but the colour of the knock sensor i bought was green and the one which came off was blue. seems strange ,maybe i need to look a

Well thats what i was never sure of ,see the vw garages i contacted told me the 9a engine only had 1 sensor ,when others said they had 2.So i could only order 1 just incase the other was different i didnt want to waste £50. But i m having the first 1 fitted monday,i shall see what happens and if i need to get another after that.

just out of interest ,did the knock sensors look the same ? or where they different .

not sure as ive given them to the garage ,whos gona look at them on monday,stupid euro car parts . Is that the correct name pick up lead ? Just incase i need to rder another set

my leads are due for replace,ment ,but the ones fitted to the car one of the leads closest the battery has a lead atta\ced to the lead then it goes to the engine somehwere ,does this make sense ?? lol any way the new lead i bought havent got this ,i think its called pick up lead ,does it need this . ps car is 1993 2.0 16v

i just tried to order 2 from my vw garage and they said sorry it only has one ,so i rang my other vw dealer who said the same thing. how annoying,i can only see one in etka so it must be that they are looking at.

2 knock sensors,are you sure as on etka i can only see 1 .do they have the same part number.? it was my local garage who did the code reading ,so dont know what make it was.

the ecu is next to the wiper motor i think,ive had my problem for 5 weeks ,so far tried injection cleaner a replacemet fuel metering unit of a written off corrado a new fuel pump large one ( havent done the in tank one yet) fuel filter plugs rotar arm distributer cap air filter new leads are on there way so is a new knock sensor ( this is what i really think it is )as ive been looking over various websites over the past few weeks getting info plus mine was read with a code reader and came up faulty. i will post all my results when i get them.

well yes the fuel ecomy is pretty bad ive noticed.But no knocking sound.

just had the engine checked with a code reader and the knock sensor is faulty apparantly. Can anyone confirm that there is only 1 knock sensor on this engine 1993 2.0 16v 9a Also what is the correct torque settings for this part ,cheers guys ,will let you know the outcome.

mine is also slow ,it used to be a lot faster ,it evens seems to get stuck .not sure what to do .

I contacted gsf about my corrado fuel pump mines the 2.0 16v and they said its only listed for the 1.8 and g60 not mine so i shall just buy the main pump for now

Ah yes i see ,i see the main pump but not the in tank pump

I have been told that i may need a new fuel pump as my one is on its last legs and that is fine ,so i rang german and swedish who have 2 listed ,main pump and in tank pump. i rang them to order and they say that my corrado only has the main pump. is this right ,as my local vw garage have 2 listed aswell. ps. its a 1993 2.0 16v

well today the car just went downhill ,it will only drive on full throttle,as it splutters around .

hmm yea i though tabout that ,but wouldnt it be missing rather than hesitant, But i am open to ideas .ps whats the best place to get some decent leads, to rule it out.?

for some reason it feels like a fuel related problem ,but not sure what to try.

well they did the usual oil and filter plugs air and fuel filter. The car wasnt running right before the service so its not helped at all.Oh and she had 180,000 miles on the clock. the g60 thing was when i had a rallye last year pitstop blocked the boost return and it dumped boost ,but im sure it was slightly hesitant before the boost cut in if you know what i mean lol. anyhow the corrado seems more hesitant and suddenly takes off
