VR6 Condenser

Looking for either r12 or r134 style condenser for a VR. I'm in the states so it would have to be shipped. Any help would be appreciated. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
2. It ended up being the wheel bearing. I'm still not sure why the noise came out after all that work, but after I replaced it the noise went away
3. I pulled over when I first noticed after the work and checked all my lug bolts. When I got back I made sure the weight was still on the inside of the wheels and they were too.
4. I have searched and checked everything on the drive line and suspension and I am at a complete loss. I had a bad vibration a while back and NGP told me my passenger inner CV joint was bad. After checking, both had play so both were replaced as well as a g60 trans mount to go with my bfi motor mounts which I installed many months ago. Everything seemed fine at low speeds, but when I get above 55 or so there is a very noticeable vibration even when making a slight right. As I said, I checked inner and outer CV joints again, wheel bearings, ball joints, tie rods, control arms, strut mounts, and axle hubs that come off of the differential. There was horizontal play in the axle flanges, maybe a 1/16" to 1/8" on either side, but I read that is normal. Any advice would be a godsend!
5. Well I'm going to have to do that anyway. There is a god awful vibration when I turn right after the new inner joints
6. Hello all, A while back I pulled the trans on my VR to do the timing chains, and when everything was all said and done, I noticed a squeak coming from my drivers side front wheel. The noise is mostly prevalent at low speeds and I can describe it most accurately as the squeak that comes from a rubber dog toy when your dog is chewing on it. It definitely seems rotation related because it makes the noise pattern consistently when driving at a constant speed. I needed to do my inner CV joints, so when I was replacing them I inspected the boots on the outer joints to make sure it wasn't them and they looked perfect. I'm at a loss as to what else could make a sound like that.

Plasti Dipping

I actually did my entire car a few weeks ago. Very pleased with the results for only paying $300 and doing it myself for the first time. I'm only using it as temporary paint until I save up for an intensive respray to the factory green. Don't expect it to last longer than a year or two and be VERY careful with gas, It takes it off almost instantly!!!! Here's going from green to white:
8. Well I haven't done much in modding yet. Most of my funds go towards maintenance and restoration. It was in pretty rough shape when I picked her up. The day I brought her back sitting next to the Jetta: The paint was in horrible shape and there were a few dents: I polished the intake and valve cover in attempt to distract from the horrible engine bay Then came a new set of coilovers and a fresh home grown respray: Ignore the grill, I have a replacement More to come as I find the time to work on her :thumbleft:
9. Hey all, New to this forum, but not to vw. I have a Mk3 Jetta and a 92 SLC. I joined this site because I can see right off the bat that you have much more information in the stickies alone than I can easily find on vwvortex! Anyways, just sayin hi! -Gordon
