Well after all that it turned out to be a fuse problem. The old style 10 fuse was slightly broken when I pulled it out. Weird because both beams worked! Anyway thanks for the help guys.

I'm getting no change when I put beams on high. 0.04 both settings

I ordered a bulb from vw so should be correct. I shall try connectivity tests see what goes. What's the best way to check stalk? As you can guess I'm a novice at electrical testing!!!

Checked voltage on 2 pins not much voltage seen. Could the blue beam light be controlled by a fuse or relay??

So new bulb, cleaned contacts on stalk still not working. Anyone have any ideas or similar experience? Justin

Yes high beam works just not blue bulb on dash
