8. Hi all, both my windows have stopped working, I know the motors are fine as they open and shut off my total closure alarm. When I press either switch, I can hear the module behind the door card clicking like mad. Does this mean it's buggered?
9. Is the roof controlled by the module behind the door card? Also do rados have full open and closure of windows off the key like the mk3?
10. Just to add, it's had a Clifford alarm at some point and I assume part of it is still there as the windows auto close as soon as the ignition is switched off. I don't have any fobs so can't over ride anything, if there is a break in the switched feed perhaps where the alarm is wired in perhaps this is the issue? I intend to find the alarm and remove it anyway as it serves no purpose.
11. Haven't put the meter near it yet as assumed as it clicks when I plug it in that it's getting power of sorts. It's defo getting enough power to move as the new motor wound back of its own accord when I first plugged it in. I wonder if its not getting a switched feed? Any idea which wire to test?
12. Roof is shut on the car Motor is not bolted up to roof it's dangling freely Motor clicks when connecting wiring but does move in any direction when switch is pressed I haven't tried bolting the new motor up and trying, I figure if it won't move out of situ it wouldn't move in situ, would it? Though the new motor did wind itself back as soon as I plugged it in without me touching the switch, not moved since though
13. Hi all, new to the forum and Corrado ownership so thought I'd post some pics up of my Corrado VR6. So a bit of background - I've always owned Mk2s since passing my test many years ago, lost count of the amount I've had over the years, most noteworthy was my factory 5 door alpine white G60 tuned to 240bhp, after owning that nothing else seemed to come close so figured I was done with MK2s for a bit, which brings me nicely onto this: 94 VR6 with 126k on the clock, bog standard long MOT and plenty of history. Bought it blind on Ebay for a good price, above is how it arrived at my house on a recovery truck on a wet January afternoon. A few more pics as I received it: Drove it straight to my unit where I started stripping the front end to replace a faulty alternator, at that point I started to uncover some issues (previous bodged accident repair) as some chump had welded the slam panel to the wing on the passenger side, and the headlamp was bolted to the slam panel using a couple of homemade brackets and self tappers. Stripped the passenger side off and cut the slam panel off, and found the inner wing rippled and rusty, battery tray was straight but again starting to go, luckily chassis leg was untouched so looks like a low speed bump at some point in it's life rather than a full on shunt. Bought a few bits off a breaker including pretty much a complete chassis leg with inner wing and battery tray, then started drilling the spotwelds out and cutting the inner wing to accept a new panel, after a few nights graft it's just about ready for a new panel: So inbetween cutting my new car to bits, I fitted coilovers and a set of 288mm front brakes off a 97 MK3 VR6 I had knocking about. I also Lamin X'd my scruffy front indicators: And got hold of a US spec rear tub: So that's where I am up to now - gonna be welding in the new piece in the next week or two, dropping the Speedlines off for powdercoating, and putting it back together so it can see the road again! I'll keep the updates coming if people are interested, comments welcome!
14. The leccy roof in my rado has never worked, replaced the motor and switch with known working items, checked fuse, still nothing. I know it's getting power of sorts as it clicks when I connect the wiring and when I plugged a replacement in it wound itself back to the closed position as soon as I plugged it in (I assume the roof was open on the car it was removed from) it's not jammed shut due to runners as the motors I'm trying are not in situ they are in my hand as I'm trying em. Any ideas people?
15. As title, with bulb holders ideally but happy without. Any colour considered. Cash waiting.
16. Both removed from 95 vr6, wiper motor and arm in perfect working condition, headlamp surround intact with no snapped clips. 20 pounds each posted to mainland UK. I can email pics on request.
17. Received cheers. Posted handle this morning will send indicators tomorrow
18. 119 quid? I know rado parts attract the dreaded scene tax but I didn't think they were that bad.
19. Gonna push for selling as a set, will let you know though. The crack really is something and nothing though.....
