FK Konigsport Coilovers Bought my Corrado not long ago with these coil overs already on it. Receipt from original purchase and installation from 2008. Obviously with the age the front struts are completely blown. The rears still rebound perfectly. Both front and rear collars adjust freely and are in great shape for the age. I am considering having the springs blasted and powder coated, but if anyone wants the whole setup to do with what they want, make an offer. Will post pictures up once I have them properly cleaned. Can anyone confirm that one of these Strut Top Mounts will work on the 2.9 VR6? http://www.vwspares.co.uk/corrado_suspension.php

So after driving my freshly purchased Rado for a few weeks and getting it up on a lift a few times to poke around, I've come to some conclusions: 1. The coilovers it's currently sitting on need to go. They are too soft for how I want to drive the car. I was thinking http://www.dcperformance.co.uk/products.php?id=250439&item=1120-8721 Does anyone have any comments regarding this setup, or recommendations for another setup around the same price? 2. Although the brakes still do their job, the amount of corrosion on the calipers and rotors makes me nervous. I have been looking around online and can't find a decent deal for calipers. If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be greatly appreciated. I don't really want to upgrade to a larger size, I'm thinking a fresh setup all around with braided lines will suffice. 3. The top mounts need to be replaced when I swap out the suspension. Should I go through a dealership/local parts store, or is there a reliable place online to order from? I don't trust ordering parts from eBay. Again, I'm just getting into this car, so any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

BILL - what is CCGB and National Day? I'm pretty clueless as far as everything car-related goes. :bonk: -

I looked around on here for an Ignition Switch, but can only find the Wiki article on how to replace it. The Wiki does have a part number for ordering through VAG, but I can't seem to find one. Any recommendations for a good site to order through? -

So I had some time to really dig around today and I narrowed the issue down to the Ignition Switch. The security system and alarm are in perfect working order, and the Ignition Switch is solid in positions 1(off) and 2(run) but the connection must be going in position 3(start). With a little patience and a lot of force I was able to find the sweet spot and get it started. Thanks everyone for your help. Now I just need to get that Ignition Switch ordered and installed, but that shouldn't be too difficult. -

sean - I looked through all 15 pages of that thread, but didn't recognize anywhere near me. I am fairly new to the area, so if you or anyone else knows of someone around the Bury St Edmunds area that would be welcome information. paddy - I have no way of checking voltage at the moment. I'll be towing it to a nearby garage where I can look over things more properly this weekend. -

I was considering calling and having someone from clifford come out to take a look at it, but that costs a good deal. Has anyone had good luck with local garages working on security systems as complex as these? -

Well as of right now I need to figure out how to start it...http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=85618 Once I get that sorted and everything cleaned up properly I'll start looking into adding or subtracting bits and pieces. The shift stick is a bit awkward so I want to put a short shift in it, and wheels are somewhere in the near future. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. -
So I purchased this car last night after watching the owner start it numerous times, driving it for a bit, and giving it a good look over. Stopped on the way home and shut the car off and started it back up without issue. Went to start it today and nothing. Will not turn over. All electrical works, alarm works(arms/disarms) as it should. As I said this car has the Clifford Concept 650 MKII security system with the proof of professional installation done in 2008. Where this is my first Rado, and the first car I am considering a "project car", I am not too familiar with everything. I have a feeling it has something to do with the security system, even though it seems to be functioning properly. If anyone has any insight it would be greatly appreciated. I'll be uploading a few pictures shortly.

Since my first ride in a vr6 rado 10 years ago, I knew I would own one. The was so many years and miles ago, but it's finally mine. Purchased it last night for £1100, and couldn't be more excited for what's to come. As far as I can tell it has a K&N intake, miltek exhaust, it's lowered on coilovers, it's been remapped, and it had a Clifford Concept 650 mkII security system installed.
