  1. alright so iv let it running the for a day because iv done the cyl head and there was old petrol in the tank and it seems to run perfect again so happy :D iv also cleaned the injectors so she is live new. iv already sold it to a very happy buyer who has more VR6s so its got a nice home. he mentioned a showroom position so i was delighted. thank for all the help. il be back tho iv got another one lined up a 2.0 16v with strange breaking problems so that is going to be the next project il start in a week or 2.
  2. so iv replaced the part but no luck the car still is quite smokey. all though it did get better as the car warmed up. to be honest there wasn't much of a difference in changing the temp sensor, i think this vr6 has had its day lol
  3. hello Kevin it failed the mot so yes im sure they let the car warm up and it failed 2 time on CO its a shame good car good condition motor ruined. unfortunately i don't have a Vag com i did have a cheap one but it worked like once ore twice and the just failed on me Ebay eh never again . its defiantly fuel smells like a old lawnmower! im going to replace the blue sensor as its the only thing left to change on the motor all the rest has been replaced haha so much money! if the sensor doesn't work il make a video and post the link to you tube. the sensor is coming monday and il install it in the evening.
  4. hello RB i will change the blue sensor straight away and let you know in a day or 2, yes sorry the CO, iv taken out the sparks and yea there quite black. fual consumption is really really bad iv seen nothing like it. i dont know exactly but its way over what you mentioned above. thanks for your fast replay
  5. hey guys i am new here to the forum! and have got a serious problem with my VR, iv bought the car as a project trying to save it from the junks but so far no luck. at start up the car seem fine and runs smooth the problem starts after about 30 seconds of running the car it becomes very smoky but still runs smoothly its a sort of white very light blue (when i shine a flash lamp at it) it doesn't seem to lose coolant or oil nor is it old petrol. iv replaced allot of parts here is a list lambda cable spark plugs ignition leads distributor cap rotor skimmed the cylinder head replaced the stem seals replaced the gasket the stem seals and skimmed cylinder head where done by a expert the vr6 prier to the cyl head being done had an un idle revving, i thought by repairing the cyl head the smoke would go away to but it didn't repairing the cyl head has fixed the un idle revving. The only reason the corrado VR is not passing the test is because of emissions test. failed at 8% are there perhaps any sensors that i might have missed that might contribute to such a high emissions ? Corrado vr6 1992 European AAA motor thanks.
