    Coilovers

Arguably with coilovers you get what you pay for. I've tried Koni & Eibach, TBO there not great for general driving, much to hard at the rear. Allegedly this is a common issue with German TUV approval. As to get approval a vehicle must be able to cope with a fully laden car Plus its maximum towing weight. Thus very hard spring & dampers on rear. I personally went for Apex all round, much better ride with simple click adjustment on the tops for damper adjustment. Spring platforms are easy to adjust, (So long as the threads are clean). Price inc spring was £800 Although for ultimate rebound & compression control plus spring platform adjustability. Speak to Leda they'll build you anything you want. Prices are about £200 per damper.

    corrado sunroof mod

I got one from a scrappie, for £10. Just had to strip the stuff out myself. You need to find a Passat in around a 1995 vintage. Either take just the glass piece. Or if you've got the time take down the headling & remove the entire frame & motor. It'll all fit in a Corrado, although you don't strictly need the motor as your old one will work just fine. Biggest gotcha's, be bloody carefull fitting as its easy to bend the sliding rails. Get the runners & glass absolutly straight, otherwsie they'll foul on the roof. Thus the glass would scrath & break. Insepect the sunroof seal, if it torn, worn or otherwise crap, you'll need to replace & this is a complete B**ch. Plus it'll cost £30 just for a seal.
  3. I had one of the 1st sets Audioscape door pods. They came requiring trimming & fitment of speakers. The whole process took about 4 weeks of weekend work to get exactly the way i wanted. I'm not complaining as the results are fantastic & much better than stock. Has anyone got any experience with newer version of the Audioscape pods Or are there any alternatives which can hold 6" or 6.5" components?
