Dreadyedge started following The "what I did to my Corrado today" thread..., 2.0 16v ECU temp sensor help, exhaust mounting bracket help and and 4 others

Car isn't even on 100,000 yet and had an engine rebuild by previous owner due to snapped cam belt and I think it had new injectors and valves etc... So shouldn't be injectors Lambda sensor is a possibility 1st things I was going to try was the coolant sensor then the cold start injector
-
That's it buddy

Hey all after a bit of help, I'm going to replace the ECU temp sensor on my 2.0 16v (9a) as it was suggest to me it could be responsible for the rough idling when 1st started and hesitation when accelerating until its warmed. He showed me which one he thought it was and its on the right side of the head just down from the dizzy and its a 2 pin plug one..is this the correct one and could anyone tell me an exact name for it and product code as the place I'm trying to order from can't seem to find it on there computer A PIC would be great if anyone has one so I can make sure I'm getting the right one, I have some of mine but can't seem to find any way to upload it sorry Thank you all :)

They are obsolete from vw so went for an aftermarket one from vw parts international..I've had a fair few bits for the rado from them always helpful in tracking down bits :)
-
Have found one now :)

Apologies I know this is prob in the wrong section I want to replace the rear siliencer mounting bracket on my 16v as it is looking very crusty anyone know where I can buy them..I can find the rubber bit that attaches to the bracket that the exhaust hangs off but not the actual bracket any help as to where i can find one would be much appreciated. Do have a photo of it but can't work out how to upload it :( Thanks
-
Cheers I'll see if I can get hold of a new one 1st pretty sure that the vw don't do the actual check straps now if that's the case prob can't get the connector eyes either will check tho, probably best to try and find a new one if possible...thanks for all your help
-
So it most likely I need to find a new connector eye for the bit in the Apillar then...can you still buy them?
-
Will have a look at the video thanks for that
-
After looking I think its the bit in the a pillar rather than the actual check strap (sods law as I just brought another check strap) Not so sure I could really call it a creaking noise as said its more of a clunk....when I open the door it will open about half way then clunks and there is movement in the piece that comes out of the a pillar which the check strap attaches too
-
OK so after looking I have got the check strap that goes into the door but it looks like its the bit in the bodywork that the check strap attatches to that is clunking when I open the door :( Any ideas how I fix this
-
The drivers door check strap on my corrado is knackered and clunks every time I open the door, I have managed to get hold of a replacement but was wondering how I get the old one out and the new one fitted anyone know how to do it??
