  1. I have a bracket underneath too, I think is goes down to the gearbox ( John @ JMR can confirm this - he did all the work ! )

Didn't get home in time to take some piccies - I'll have to do them over the weekend.

  2. Hi g60bv,

Just been having a closer look at your chargecooler in the last photo. How is it mounted ? and what's the small tubing coming off the top near the throttle body end - is it for a temp guage ?

I have a behr chargecooler too :D , soon as I have "smaller" piccies of it, I'll post 'em up

    Cheers,

  3. disconnect the wire at both ends......find a good earth on the bidy somewhere, and check for continuity between the remote cable any the body.....obviously there should be none...but if there is, u know the wires shagged.

Ok, done some testing, when I turn on the h/u there is around 0.1 - 0.3 volts with the wire grounded to the body. So that means it's shagged ? - really odd, coz it used to work. The amp was taken out last year to move the phono cables to the other side of the car, all live wires were taped up. The only thing different is the amplified aerial is now working (didn't use to !).

    Thanks.

  4. Hi All,

Hopefully someone will be able to help me on this. Re-installed my amp and now it does not switch on ! I've narrowed it down to the remote amp switch on cable. If I bridge the main power to remote switch on on the amp it fires up. :? I have tested the remote amp lead at the headunit, as there is voltage. I have also tested the cable at the amp end, and there is voltage, but only about 0.1 or 2 at both points - is this too low to turn the amp on ?

    Any help appreciated.

    Thnx

  5. I also use a Polo rad infront of my g60 one. Can't remember what type of pump  , but I know its for a marine application.....it's situated quite low on the car, so should be "resistant" to rain etc.

Something you may want to consider - the pump is LOUD, (well mine is anyway !)although I have just had a toothed belt system fitted and it now drowns out the noise from the pump !

  6. .

I had them in my mk2 Golf with Alpine components, absolutely brilliant they were (but a bit cheaper at £120)

AndyT, I been considering them for my MK2, the price has always put me off, I take it they are an excellent fit ? Could do with replacing the 5" with a 6"

    Cheers,

  7. Andy T: My G60 seems to run at about 110 when crusing at about 80, and i've not yet driven it in warm weather!

    AndyT,

I have a mocal oil cooler on my G60 - it only ever gets to 100 degrees if I've been sitting in traffic for a long time ! :D
