1990 VW Corrado G60 I'm selling my 1990 Corrado G60. It's in mediocre shape. Engine runs and transmission shifts well. It has some issues, as you can tell by the price. First off is that it's ugly from the front. In the front, it's pretty clear it's been in a accident at some point and some kid got the body panels and didn't know how to clear coat apparently. The hood and passenger side fender have clear coat peel and the bumper cover doesn't have any clearcoat left. Miraculously, the paint in the back looks like new. The main reason for selling my Corrado isn't the cosmetics however, it's because the entire drivetrain is partially hanging in by one motor mount that's cracked. Needless to say, it will need to be trailered. The car does have 4 new tires that I had put on it. The car is probably in the 180k range for mileage. I know it had another transmission put it in at some point. The G60 makes boost however outside of that I don't know when it was last rebuilt or serviced. G60 Supercharger, still operational Shipping costs will be determined at time of sale. Supercharger still in car. Supercharger still made boost and is operational, however I do not have information on the last rebuild. The motor mount failed on my Corrado so I'm parting out the expensive things that shouldn't be scrapped first. I am not willing to ship body panels. Please contact me if you're interested in any other parts. Turn signals do not work, hazards do.

The spine appears fine too. I think I'm going to order a new switch for the turn signal and see if that resolves the problem. Hopefully I don't run into any compatibility issues buying the non-cruise control version when mine is cruise control. (non-cruise version is $11, cruise control version is $120). New part should arrive on tuesday so I'll probably update the thread some time next week. Thank you everyone for your help. -

The front right bulb that wasn't working just wasn't put in properly. I readjusted it and now it works. All bulbs are now functional(hazards work on all bulbs now), same issue with the turn signal switch still exists. I have tried relay type 191 and 21, neither fix the problem. Both 191 and 21 work. I still need to check grounds. There's hardly any room in the engine bay and it's very difficult to determine where things are going. I have tried this, it didn't resolve the problem. Though visibility was very limited, I did my best to make sure all of the connectors were fully inserted by applying pressure. I didn't feel any of them push in any more and the problem still remains unresolved. What do you mean by 'the spine'? Thank you, everyone, for your help. It means a lot to me to have a community that is willing to take time out of their day to help some random guy on the internet. -

I don't know what you meant by symptoms, so I took a quick video to show it. Also the first time I used the turn signal in the video it did that flicker thing. It has never done that before. I'm wondering if I didn't have the switch in far enough in or if it was a new symptom. It could be negligible. Forgive me for my inexperience, but all 4 corners of what? The car? -

Had to take a break from the car because life events, now I'm back. I have the correct number 21 relay(111 953 227D) which is in working order. The problem is still there. I've checked the number 17 fuse and it was fine. When I use the turn signal switch, the light comes on but doesn't flash and there's no clicking sound. However, my hazards still work fine. I'm assuming the turn signal knob on the steering column is fine. This is a big head scratcher for me because I can't fathom of what else could be the cause of this problem. Any help would be strongly appreciated. -

A closer look at the diagram revealed a bigger problem including the problem with the turn signals. Almost none of my relays are even the proper match, including the hazard+turn signal one. Mimjed, if you still have that 90 g60 could you please pull your #6 relay for me and take a picture of the diagram and the side with the part number? I'd really appreciate it. -
I need help troubleshooting the turn signals on my 1990 G60 Corrado. I don't really know what the cause is and it's a electrical problem. My hazard/emergency lights work(though I do have a bad front right bulb, I don't think that's related I just plan on replacing it once I get my turn signals working). I don't believe it's my switch because when I turn it the light on the dash does come on but it doesn't flash and there's no clicking sound. I'm assuming it could possibly be a relay then, but when I looked at a diagram I didn't see any relay labeled for the turn signals. I bought the car this way. Also there is a bunch of missing relays on the fuse box but as I said I can't find which relay is responsible for the turn signals. Any tips on trouble shooting this is greatly appreciated, turn signals are kinda sorta important.

Hi. I bought a G60 Corrado a month back. I've been lurking this forum before I even bought it. I'm 18 so I'm still going to HS but I'm also working a 25hr/week job(3:30-8:30 week days) which helps with the cost to keep this thing on the road. I've never driven a vehicle during winter that wasn't equipped with 4WD or AWD, and I had a snowstorm yesterday. I regret to say I was really disappointed with the performance in the snow, primarily with the brakes. I didn't feel any ABS and it skidded sideways when I pressed the pedal in anything but light. Also I found myself constantly having to lug the engine to avoid wheelspin. I should mention I'm a relatively unseasoned driver, though I do think this vehicle does handle particularly terrible on the snow. Tips would be appreciated, also I'm pretty sure the ABS isn't even on. I did notice that if I left foot braked and didn't completely let off the gas while slowing down it slowed down a lot better and kept the front end straight for the most part. Also I'm pretty sure it started over heating itself (I saw oil temps rising up towards 175 according to digital MFA display on a snowing winter day so I pulled over and let it cool down for a bit and then went home) from me lugging it. My dad said it might need a rebuild because it's over heating when more torque is being put on the bearings but I don't know how accurate this is because he's certainly not a mechanic. I thought lugging a engine in general is terrible on it and I don't want to have to do that to it every time it snows. Anyways, aside from that when the roads are dry I've found it very fun to drive. It corners very well and compared to my old VW Rabbit pickup it has some really good torque. Also, the muffler fell off because the person before me didn't know how to weld but I love the sound. The acceleration sound reminds me of rally cars. That's about it. And of course, here's some pictures of her.
