I posted recently saying I was thinking about a 1990 G60, and I ended up buying her and should have all the parts to do a VR6 swap into it by the end of next week :)I have already bought an engine. I recently purchased a 1990 VW Corrado with a dismantled G60 engine, I bought a VR6 off a friend for 500$ and I just need to change out some gaskets. My question is though, what parts do I need for the swap? He has an engine harness for me to buy which I believe I need. I know i need to replace my rear subframe but I am having issues on figuring out what will and will not work for my VR6. So if anyone could please assist me this is my first swap ever and I would like to get as many parts ordered that I would need as soon as possible so let me know what I should and shouldn't do for this swap. Hey everyone hope you all can help me out... I'm looking at a Corrado this guy is selling, its a 1991 G60 supercharged, and he says the top part of the motor was disassembled by a previous owner. He is asking 1800$. Now with that said, the body is super clean no rust spots on it, and no missing paint. It has aftermarket rims, tires, rotors brakes, racing seats, gauges, roll cage, racing harness, and intercooler. It looks so beautiful and it seems like a great deal to me but I wanted to know what you all thought. And if it is a good deal should I rebuild the G60 or do an engine swap? and if I do swap engines what shall i swap to Thanks in Advance hope you all can help me :/
