  2. Hi all, recently found out that my screen needs changing and some remediation work done. I have found a firm that does heated screens http://www.heatedwindscreen.com but for a Corrado it's minimal order 10 screens. Anyone interested for a group buy. U.K. Only I'm afraid and if anyone is in the Essex region I can get removal and fit for £100 by a qualified engineer. Thanks for looking.   3. Afaik it all happens inside the box, all the linkages are the same on top, you just get an extra selectable gear. S Sorry just seen your edit.

  5. Hi, good call. I will contact quiafe and see if they can send me a copy. I will also ask the box builder if he knows. From what I recall it's something to do with an oilway at the fifth gear end. Cheers S

It has been stripped from the old box where the diff had gone and is located at my gearbox builders GasNGears in Wales. Hi All, Basically has anyone sussed out how or if its possible to strengthen and repair the rubbish plastic parts of the dash? mainly i seem to have issues with the little tangs that the screws go through. i have tried epoxy resin with little success, any details on success and failures would be great. thanks for looking steve
  10. Hello mate, yeah nothing but trouble, still loving it. I asked them to keep the torque below 330 in view of the drivetrain and it's only boosting 14 psi, plenty more there and no mention of down pipe. Waiting for the box to get pulled to see current situ but started collecting for a haldex conversion. Up your neck of the woods end of the week to get a 4mo gearbox, prop and rear diff. Hope your good and I will give you a shout when it's done. S

Hi All, can anyone tell me if any Mk4 shifter will connect to a 02M Box? is there any difference between the 5 and 6 speed? cheers steve Ok bit the bullet and got a mk4 5 speed shift tower, looking on other threads it seems if you fit these bits the tower will fit 6N0 711 061A shifter 6N0 711 090A base plate 6N0 711 611C shifter arm Can anyone confirm this will still work on a 02M box as most threads refer to a 02j? Sounds good, what sort of functionality will it have? i have been looking at this one as well https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1384577125096256&id=1384569365097032 it will replace my boost gauge as well. can anyone give me an idea of what else is needed? the car is currently running 4 bolt hubs and i am guessing the running gear was from a MK2 synchro so i will be looking at cut down shafts but unsure of which. would it be better to go back to 5 stud? also the shifter box? i read somewhere a polo one will fit, which model. thanks for bearing with a Noob. cheers steve

Hi, when you say a mission how so? i thought most of the major fabrication would have been done when it was synchro'd? i can see that it needs front mount moved and the dutch build kit for hanging the rear diff, what else apart from shafts and CV's? if i can get a deal on the 4mo stuff then it will be the electronic controller. i did want to up the HP in the future hence the haldex upgrade for future proofing, currently limited to 336hp @ 14psi due to me getting the idea that the synchro stuff wont handle much more. cheers steve
  15. hi, i will let you know as i have an option on a MK4 4 Mo gear and transfer box, prop and rear frame with diff for £250. which is a 3rd of what i was looking at paying. anyone confirm or deny if its worth doing the Darkside strengthening stuff? cheers steve
  16. going to have to out source the removal as its a little beyond my skill level. good point about the salvage and re-sale, not sure how many of these kits have been sold so dont know if people would want the bits? I was going to sell box and wheels to finance the Haldex but thats now not an option. thanks for the advice, much appreciated. cheers steve

Hi, i love Vince to bits but am unlikely to use him this time, easier to go direct to Quaiffe. im thinking worst case here, i have spoken to Tim at the Phirm and he reckons the Diff exploded, i have no idea what damage this can cause but as there are 12 gears and 2 shafts it maybe expensive, could be thats its just one thats knackered but going on my current luck...... i was looking to do the haldex at sometime but the current issue may push me to do it earlier. thanks for the input steve

  19. Hi all, I know this has been asked a thousand times so sorry! Current situ is Looks like I have fubar'do the current 6 speed quaife kit in the synchro turbo, so it's currently got a synchro drivetrain and quaife box (02a kit), what would I need to convert to haldex? dutch build still do the mounting kit. It's running a 4 bolt wheel setup currently, do I keep this or go back to 5? I was looking at a wrecked mk1 TT and doing a swap, what do I keep? I may have an option on an 03 S3 can I use that as a donor? All help gratefully received! Cheers Steve
  20. Good news is its back together and running! Advice on fitting stainless crack pipe is give it a couple of knocks with a hammer, and it is possible to fit without taking the entire thermostat housing off (just the part that it goes into on the stat housing as the complete housing is made of 2 or 3 bits) Ran the car round the block today and it works still RESULT! I still need to sort the bumper out as the sides have a slot/runner guide I missed but I will sort that when I change all the screws to stainless and replace the 6, yes 6! Missing ones that held the slam panel on! Only took 90 mins to take whole front off because it only had half the screws/bolts! I have said before these cars need love and attention, not half arsed attempts at repairs! If your going to do it at least do it properly! I will also start sorting out the rust patches on the underside of the engine bay, slam panel and battery tray/slam mount points Oh and refit lights. The advert should be changed to 'puppies and CORRADO's are for life not just xmas' TFL Steve

  23. Hi All, new trouble with VR! Basically I was racing a skyline when the throttle body spring got stuck, fully open! I limped the car home (ignition off mostly (no brakes or PAS)) as the engine when on just bounced off the limiter! The car was bought ready modded (ex mag car 2004) and it's nearly all custom, as I'm finding out! It has a Wagner tuning intake (HPA clone?) so the throttle body is mounted behind the radiator for a super short FMIC to throttle pipe run. I have spare ODB2 TB which won't fit and bought an ODB1 today that won't fit without work. Here are pics, the new working TB (with TPS) and old (without TPS) where I have tried to trial fit to manifold the angle of runner is wrong and full throttle has +2 inches of slack. Side by side the old one has less total width (needed as its close to radiator) larger and angled cable guide/runner (angle can be seen in top down/side view) I need suggestions please, my 2 current ideas are 1) find a 75mm one of these - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/70MM-THROTTLE-BODY-PERFORMANCE-INTAKE-MANIFOLD-BILLET-ALUMINUM-HIGH-FLOW-BLUE-/191213044002?hash=item2c852f8122 and hope it fits or 2) give old and new TB's to an old guy in a shed to fabricate a replacement Anyone know any good fabricators?
