Not quite a beast yet, I would currently class it as 'Rude' Looking for 4-450. Know any Syncro gurus Doc? S

Hi all, got the 'licence loser' mapped today. Kudos to Redline Tuning in Basildon! Money well spent (so far 25 miles in) no longer have the flame spitting 'Asbo' map, just low, middle and high boost (260,290 and 336) So what's peoples experience with Syncro diffs? How soon am I going to have issues? I will only use low and middle, high will occasionally be used to wipe people's smirks off (at you some BMW drivers) I know I should look at haldex but that's longer term and best part of 2k. Am I right in thinking that the rear drive only comes in when the front loses traction (VC) and with maximum split its still 50/50? So with my current setup (336hp and 320tq, high boost and torque measured at flywheel) the rear diff will only see 160lb/ft and only when both fronts have 0-50% traction? Is it possible to uprate the rear diff? I believe it's the same as the T3/4 transporters? I shouldn't have issues with the gearbox as it's got a quaife 6 speed (question/statement)? Thanks for looking. S

Didn't fancy the 4x4 Panda much.

Why mature dubber? How many on the forum are sub 25-30? Or if the 75 in the name is your age then Kudos! Hardly anyone sub 30 recognises my Rado round my way, even after a slap from calling it a scirocco doesn't help! Good luck with the hunt and hope you find a good one! Everyone here seems like an enthusiast and are friendly and helpful. IMHO. S

Hi all, thanks and feeling the love! Please give generously to http://www.helpthecorrado.org! The ignition switch fears was from extensive walkthroughs posted here (and other unnamed forums) I was thinking I would have to pull some upside down footwell action! But it had been done before and was simples! Biatch of a screw still! Couple of pics Forgive the birds nest in top left of filter shot as it needs tidying from the ford coil pack install

Today I am at the stage of - what goes wrong next! In the last 2 months of owning the Rado Actually wired in the AFR meter to the ECU - it helps with the tuning now rather than looking pretty! New ford coil pack install New plugs New rear disc and pads Battery relocation to boot - this helped find the overcharging alternator 17-18 volts! New fuel pump relay as a previous owner only used a 30 amp relay for both lifter and main pump! Install 2nd hand alternator - 4 hours labour as the bolts had seized and it needed smashing out! Extra bonus as this solved the stalling at lights issue! New Aux belt 4 new H7 bulbs as alternator had blown them New ITG filter where battery was And today New ignition switch, which I was dreading! A previous owner had changed it and swapped bolts etc so 20 mins and done (forum posts suggested 2-3 hours) RESULT! while I was there a new indicator/light stalk as I had to drive home the other night holding the main beam on with one hand while negotiating single lane country roads. Booked in for remap next week at redline tuning Next, who knows? It's just a matter of time........ I hope everyone has a great bank holiday! S
