Hi Matt - Thanks for your prompt and informative reply. It is sad people are losing interest in the forum. I have always found it a great source of information and my first call for spare parts. I hope it survives, even in archive form. I eventually decided to keep the car for the time being, a quick troll of Autotrader making my decision for me. Used car prices seem very high and any money I spent on the Corrado would keep an old friend going for a lot less money. To that end I have had some body work done. I managed to source a whole and in very good condition tailgate locally which has been resprayed and fitted by a excellent local body shop. They also replaced the sills on both sides, repaired a damaged rear wing and managed to save the rotted n/s front wing. I really need to source a replacement one of these. They buffed the rest of the car (including the wheels). When I collected the car it looked great. It failed it's MOT but only on one windscreen washer not working and the ABS warning light switch had stopped working. (sourced on Ebay and now replaced). It still needs repairs at the top of the windscreen but that can wait until later in the year. That all cost £2500.00, much cheaper than a ten year old Fiesta and a lot more fun. It's 31st birthday is this month so we might open a bottle of Cava!

Hi, looking for some expert advice. I have been lucky enough to drive a Corrado VR6 for the last 28 years. It is not a cherished classic, it has just been my everyday driver/commuter. It is the basic car and has not been modified. Owing to age related issues (mine and the car’s) I have decided to sell it and buy something I can easily enter and exit. It is showing it’s age, it needs work done to the body, ABS light is on a lot of the time although it does pass it’s MOT and the central dashboard rattles a bit. The advice I need is simple, should I sell it as it is or would I gain anything by having it renovated. I do not live in a part of the country renowned for it’s car renovation skills. I am assuming that anyone buying it would be a Corrado enthusiast and would prefer to be involved in the restoration themselves. My own mechanical skills are limited to checking the oil, coolant and tyre pressures. Other than that I just open the bonnet and have a look which has never solved anything. Advice on where to sell would also be appreciated. I do sell on Ebay but not sure I would want to sell a car there. I assume most members on here have cars already so pointless advertising here. Not sure it is good enough for Auto Trader and local press would be useless. Thanks in anticipation,

I had read this on the forum but was restricted to the internet at the time (flu). I could find nothing there. I have in the past been shocked at the VW hose prices so when I have time I shall go to my local Ford dealer and have a serious chat to the parts guy!

Hi - Thanks for all the replies. This was a difficult part to find but in the end I got one from VW Parts International (£82.94 including delivery). The original part number had a B suffix but had been discontinued so had me worried. There is a similar hose with the same part number but a F or G suffix. This has a much longer hose on the left branch so possibly went the a carbon canister as has been suggested. I have checked the Corrado parts catalogue for 91 to 95 and the part 021133518H is the same in all. (mine is a 94) The part was available from a few sources in Europe at a cheaper price but higher delivery costs. The hose on my car had split and was causing tick-over and stalling problems including the common stalling when clutch depressed. Fingers crossed all solved. Thanks again for all the help. DB.
