wow. the elise is the best car ever. hurtling up to corners around castle combe at 80mph, brakes, turn, power and it just wanted more!!! didn't make the tyres squeal once, but had them wailing in the scooby WRX! :D my favourite part of that course has to be tower corner and bobbies coz it is so fast. and best of all, i got top of the class with 92%! first time on the track too.

woah :( if it was the same guy seems i was lucky to walk away! the guy was an asian guy who ran a website http://www.infinityautos.co.uk nice enough guy and the car was really clean inside and out so i dunno if it was the same guy. all the paperwork seemed in order to.

i went to see a corrado in slough a few months back, moonlight blue 2.0 16v, really nice actually and up for £2800. it was being sold by a guy who ran a performance car business from home. it ended up being sold and now its back on autotrader, still in slough but up for £3500 with a beige leather interior it didn't have when i saw it, or £3000 without! and now being sold by 'pedros ltd'. its a damn fine car, shame its being passed about like that though. but it does make me wonder if something is wrong with it?

nice selection of cars! i got an 'elise sports and racing' track day on the 9th of july at castle combe which was my 21st present from my parents back in march. 2 demo laps in a focus 3 driving laps in a focus :| 6 driving laps in a formula ford 1 demo lap and 5 driving laps in a scooby wrx 1 demo lap and 5 driving laps in a lotus elise can't wait :D 8)

ah i see, there is quite a noticebale difference there! but a good one at that. my g/f isn't too keen on green cars but i like the colour of the corrado i posted. you guys don't have any bad luck with your green corrados do you? it just i've got a green clio which has been hit from just about every angle so far, rear twice, front, side, above (beer bottle through the sunroof) :D
-
erm, is there sarcasm there or you do like it? :?
-
ok, thanks guys. if there is a difference which do you think is a nicer colour? these are the green colour codes i found while searching the net: Dark Green Metallic X5 LD6U 90 Green Pearl Effect R6 LC6V 90 - 93 Classic Green Pearl Effect U8 LC6U 93 & 95 Dragon Green Pearl Effect W7 LC6P 94

is this standard vw dragon green or another vw colour? thanks :)

its good! bodywork and interior are mint. sunroof is being fixed at the mo and the only other bad points are a cracked front foglight and the centrla locking doesn't work off the remote. however, there were 2 keys, 1 for the door and one for the ignition. the brakes need doing as the pedal was a bit spongey and the discs were pretty worn but it did have a full MOT. doesn't pull or judder under braking or steering. its been lowered with new springs and the old ones are included. a nice ride! drives really well around town and there are no squeaks/ rattles/ knocking coming from anywhere. but i can't buy it as my rents have said no until i get rid of my beetle which is an arse. still, like you said, i have time to look around - i have much experience of buying lemons and i wish to stop that! :D so, look here, page 4 for the car: http://www.infinityautos.co.uk :)

don't bet on the lpg conversions either. labour want to phase out the tax breaks now and put the prices up to match unleaded as they believe the newest diesels are as efficient and as clean as lpg so it negates the use for lpg. typical government. get people dependant on a cheap source of fuel (buying the tank and coversions) and then hike up the prices. assholes
-
thanks storm, i've only ever owned beetles up till now and am fully aware of vw's :D ;) from the pictures i've seen it is a very clean car. inside and out and is currently getting the sunroof fixed. i'm taking the checklist i d/l of here to help me through looking over it. if i get there and it doesn't turn out as i expected then i'll only have wasted some petrol getting there so its no big loss in the sum of things! you shall find out tommorow whats gonna happen as i've booked myself in for a viewing in the morning. :!: :)
-
so thats you two and my g/f thats said go for the L reg! may just have to give them a ring and arrange a viewing time :) thanks guys!

hey guys, i've been hunting down every C since i arrived on this forum on autotrader, fish4, trade-it blah blah blah :D anyway, i'm currently close to looking at 2 . 1 is a 1993 L 2.0 16V with 100k on the clock. FSH, cat 1 alarm, in midnight blue and up for £2600. the second is a 1995 M 2.0 16v with 105k. FSH, cat 1alarm and midnight blue and up for £3500 first is dealer, second is private. they are both quite a way from me but seem pretty good and are the spec i'm looking for. what do ya think? thanks :)
