    VR6 ECU question

Hey.. I finally got the ECU out of there.. pretty easy with the "air-vent" removed...  Well you learn every day... Now to my next question - The number on the ecu is : VW 021 906 258 CP Bosch - Ø 261 203 564/565 Any idea of what engine that box is for?? Previous owner of my car had an 2.8l engine installed because the original engine was damaged bad... now I have fitted a new 2.9 ABV engine in it... But not shure what the box is for.. 2.8 or 2.9... ??

    VR6 ECU question

But the problem is, that I cant get the ECU out from there.. I can get it loose.. but I have tried to move it in all directions to get it out... not enough room at all.. It's killing me... I even looked in the Corrado Official Repair manual from bentley... but the only thing they left out is the thing about the ECU... Damn.. Can anyone post some pictures about it?? Does it have anything to do with it, that my car is LHD?? ' Please help..

    ECU Removal?

remember that mine is a LH... leaving little room for the ECU, not like the RH where the fresh-air went is in the other side, far away from the ecu..
  8. I'm interested in a set of new wheels for my rado VR, and have fallen for the RH ZW1 or ZW3 havent decided yet.. BUT, i'm only interested in those wheels if i can get 'em wide enough, say 8,5 front and 9 rear.. both in 17inch I live in Denmark, where the Wheels are NOT(!) Allowed to extend from the arches! some of the cops dont care, others will kill you, and you wont be able to pass MOT.. dont wanna take the chance.. What ET and how wide can i go?? By the way schould i go for the ZW1 or the ZW3? :?:

  12. Hey. When i bougth my corrado few years ago it was fitted with a 2,8 litre vr engine, the original engine had seized... (or something like that.. ) Now, I have a 2,9 ABV waiting to be dropped in, but my ECU is still the 2,8 verson. What happens when i turn the key first time? will the car run proberly or can i 'hurt' the new engine? My rado is a '95 VR6 soon back to original tune, hopefully... :!:
