Wonderful, thanks a million !!! I don't suppose you have a rabbit in your hat as well ?

Hi, Does anyone know where I can get some detailed instructions on how to fit the cambelt and set the timing on my PG G60 ? Thanks all.
-
Not 100% sure why, the fact the engine had 180k on it whilst the odometer read 107k coupled with the fact that i was traveling at around 130mph, may of had something to do with it  I have a new short block which i am currently building up. It has about 15k on it, which is nice. But i'm sticking with 1.8 for the time being.

The close up was a tad out of focus, maybe this will put it more in perspective. Its the number 1 piston thats gone.

Hmmmmmm........ I'm thinking that this may of had something to do with me depositing a shed load of oil onto the poor people behind me on the motorway......

A free health check sounds like a good plan to me !! If only the NHS was this helpful !! To be honest i'm in to minds as wether or not to keep a G-ladder. I'd like some kind of bomb proof aftermarket jobbie. But budget, and the fact that I love the G-ladder, are stopping me from replacing it............. (currently) ! I shall be in touch regarding this, I plan to get the charger off the old engine this weekend and i'm off work a week after that, so around then will be a ideal for me. I shall let you know as soon as i have some definate plans !! Cheers !! :D PS I shall relive you of a subframe and any other parts you have that I need, while im there !!

Whilst building my new engine, it has suddenly dawned on me that the previous engine destruction may of damaged the g-ladder. Baisicly, it was either the piston rings or a hole in the cylinder, i have yet to take the head off the old engine to have a look. But i was wondering if during the destruction, any shards of debris may of headed through the oil system, through the charger and munched the seals ? I had originaly assumed that the debris would of headed straight out the exhaust. But on dismantling i did find rather an excessive amount of oil in the intercooler. I am hoping that this is from the previous two times that the G-ladder's seals have failed, but I thought I'd ask to see if any one has encountered this happening in the past ? Thanks Guys :!:

Thanks for your reply Dr Mat, sadly this is not an option for me as the remains of the old engine is currently hanging from a crane and the new one is half built on a stand. So I can not test them in that way. I would just replace them as a matter of course, but i am trying to salvage what i can of my budget. :?

Do the rear mounts on the Corrado do anything other than stop the engine falling on the floor ? I am asking because i am debating wether or not to replace these while i have the engine out. I have replaced the front one as i know it handles most of the torque, but i'm not sure if I need bother with the rears unless they are completly perished ? What do you guys think :?:

Thinking about it though, it would be great when you were stuck on a Sunday night in desperate need of some parts, you could just pop down to your nearest 24hr Shell and pick some up ! With the obligatory Lion bar of course ! Although if they charge as much for the parts as they do for the aforementioned lion bar, then fashioning your own parts from Dodo bones may be a cheaper option :?

Or any garage that's prepared to pay a very reasonable £15 per month...... K Or petrol station (according to the website)............ WHY ???? I'd like 20 gallons of 4 star and a sump gasket please !

Hmmmm, this post apears to of got people more excited than I imagined. Just to recap, i asked 'Where is the best place to get a copy of this' NOT 'Where can I get ilegaly pirated copies of this'. The word copy refers to the software in question, it does not mean PIRATE. If you went into WH Smith and asked for a copy of PVW would you expect them to present you with a badly photocopied pirate of the magazine ???? I just wanted to know if this software was available and if so, where and how much, I even mentioned that if any one was to offer anything not strictly honest they should email me. So my appologies to the forum admins if this has caused any problems ! I understand that the integerity of the forum needs to be maintained in order to make sure that it stays online as a valuable mine of Corrado info !! Anyway, I just felt I should add this to the thread, as the record needed straightening and some feathers smoothing ! Thank you very much to EVERYONE that replied to this topic as always you were all very helpful !! PS. If you are interested no one here has seriously offered me a pirate copy. PPS. The makers a ETKA are called Lex-Com you can read all about them here http://www.lex-com.net PPPS. I am looking into the Consumer version that Tempest reffered to, as that seems like a sensible solution for all !! (Thanks Tempest) PPPPS. FAO Tempest, Lexicon are also a real company, they make the best sounding reverb effects units, for audio production, available. i have a couple and they are great !

Where's the best place to get a copy of this ? If anyone can help then I would be grateful, and if you can help, but if your help is not strictly in keeping with the honesty and wholesomeness of this forum, then mail me at mailto:[email protected] Cheers.
