  1. Hi Sam - you are right mine doesn't have the centre bit - it's one long bench like seat - I'd assumed they were all interchangeable? Are they not? Cheers Gareth
  2. Many thanks - I'll pm you if that's ok - I'm not looking for the the plastic parts or carpets but the seats look great...
  3. Hi - would be interested in a full grey leather interior - ideally front and rear seats plus the front and rear cards but maybe interested in separates (as a means to get to a full kit out). Cheers Gareth (Northampton area)
  4. Thanks - I managed to find one - I don't suppose you have other fuel supply related parts - the accumulator that fits on the inline fuel pump/housing? Cheers Gareth
  5. Assume this went to someone else? Hence the recent radio silence? Cheers Gareth

  7. Had an afternoon of head scratching - appreciate some advice ..... The car won't start anymore - I've got fuel going to the fuel lines but no spark.... I've swapped over the coil, distributor, plugs, rotary arm but still now joy - I have 12v going into the coil. The last thing I did (yesterday) was fit a radio/stereo inside and I did short out the red 12v ignition/switchable live cable for the radio - fuse is ok but wire is no longer live (I took a switchable live for the radio from the glove light so no dramas) could my tampering inside be the cause of now not having any spark? Appreciate any help/pointers on where next to test/look - I've got a voltage meter to can poke it anywhere (just not sure where to check next).... Thanks Gareth Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. Yeah I fitted a towing hook (from an old land rover) to the steel joist in my garage to use to winch it up onto the stand [emoji3] - all the parts off your engine have been super useful (thanks)..... The engine runs great once going and after a few minutes (it's hard to get started and lumpy/stalls lots until then). Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. Hi mate - is this a test to see if I know what the bits are called? Ok I'll have a go but I admit I don't know much!! Complete manifold Fuel lines Injectors/leads Distributor Cambelt Air box thing plus the bit the fuel lines go onto Air tube thing Pretty much everything that I could get off/at..... Replaced clutch slave and was able to drive it into the garage (see below)!! 2 steps forward, 1 step back today: Replaced the sensor at the bottom of the radiator (old one had snapped) but blew the fan fuse somehow and the engine ran very hot (I didn't realise the fuse had blown), once I realised, I changed the fuse - now the fan won't go off (was still going hours after I turned the engine off even though it had well and truly cooled down) - had to unplug the lead to the new sensor in the end to stop the fan.... Any ideas what I've broken now? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  12. Hi Sam - monumental evening last night - don't mind admitting I was quite emotional but...... I got her to run!!! The pumps and pipes are just about working (need sorting properly so still keen to get a good accumulator/pipes etc) but I was desperate to see if the ol' girl would start.... Lots of smoke to start with (understandable after 10 years!!) - temperature got up to just above 90, fan kicked in (despite a broken switch) and she sat running for about 15 mins until I turned her off. Spluttered when I gave her some gas but hoping that'll settle... Am going to replace the fuel line to the engine from the filter as I'm not happy with my banjo 'repair'. Will try her again today just to check it wasn't a one off!!! Just a 2 page list left of things to do now (rather than the 4 pages I started with).... Cheers for all the help, support, advice etc on chapter 1.....
  13. I'm guessing it's a real long shot but I'd love to stumble across a bonnet and driverside door in twilight violet - anyone know of anyone breaking this colour? Cheers Gareth
  14. Thanks all - I had a quote from Pristine for £70 per wheel to paint them (they said they were too old to diamond cut?).... Will explore the others recommended too..... Cheers Gareth Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. Hi - I've got an old set of estorils with yucky paint on that I would like bringing back to their former glory. Anyone know a good company in the Northants / Milton Keynes area? Cheers Gareth
  16. Sorted many thanks - have ordered a set - much cheaper than eBay - cheers for the introduction to the site...
  17. Hi - looking for 2 centre caps for above wheels (58mm) like below.... Cheers Gareth Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. Let me know if you have anything suitable - mine is a bit past it (can't even get the nuts off!!) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. You did indeed but it's been fun and I've learnt a lot about how rust behaves!!! Yes please to the fuel motor and pipe(s) took mine apart and it was clearly seized.... Just need the accumulator and some of the pipes that connect it up.... Let me know what you want for the motor.... Cheers gareth
  20. Hi - I'm looking to replace the below with something that works!! Let me know if you have anything.... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. Inline is knackered - too crusty to get apart!! Anyone got a spare? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. Oh I thought it just had the one on the boot that I've replaced?? Anyone got an 'in line' one spare that I could buy that looks like the one in the photo (but not so crusty!!)? For a 1994 2.0 16v? Cheers gareth
  23. Thanks - anyone know what the bit below on the left is (round, brown and crusty which to be fair is pretty much everything!) plus the black square box thingy? Looks like fuel lines go into it so keen to replace.... Anyone got one? Cheers gareth Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  24. Hi Sam - well I've been busy..... Starter motor on, new fuel pump fitted, resistor from a Passat sender utilised!, inlet manifold, fuel lines, air intake bit, distributor, leads etc all swapped over from your old engine...fuel pump relay swapped (now clicks and fuel pump primes). Engine turns on the starter motor, has a spark but no fuel is getting up to the engine - disconnected the fuel line from the pump and turned ignition on - petrol is drawn up/comes out but not getting from the rear of the car to the front!! Am I right in thinking there is a fuel filter underneath that may be bunged up? Again, any advice welcomed!!cannot wait to get the engine running! Cheers Gareth
