Sorry It's taken a while - here are a couple of shots of the Storm

Hi All, I have now replaced the solitudes on my Storm, old set now for sale, plus a new wheel that came from VW with a small dent in the rim (replaced by them). 2 have tyres (one is Firestone dated 2012, other is Dunlop dated 2007!) the other three are bare. All need refurbing depending on whether you want to do the new rim with the small dent as well? I want £100 for them or close offer. Collection from Cheltenham. Cheers, Tom

Evening All, Are these still available? It seems from reading threads that they were discontinued around 2006, and then remanufactured at some point? Anyone know where to get them from, or have a new one sitting about they want t sell me? Tom

Could not resist chipping in Asim, Hope you don't mind. Loving the look of the Porsche, will deffo be my next Motor. Need to get one whilst the boy still fits in the back. (he is 4 allready) I am thinking 996 Turbo, although I really like the 993 shape. Also hoping I could leave it standard, mind you I did tell the Mrs that I would not need to mod the RS... Just gone stage 3 so pushing about 480bhp at the moment, shown with winter wheels of course. This is her with her summer splits on. Anyway as Jay has said, knowing you I am very very sure that the porsche is a absolute minter. I know how gutted you must be to part with the rado. It just goes to show what a big part of your life a car can be. I have not had a C for nearly 3 years now and, although quiet on the posting front I always check into the forum to see what is going down. Oh and also to see how mental LEE is getting...... :cuckoo: Cheers mate :salute: -
Yes, I always used "wax wizard" on my C and the shine was unbelievable, always been a big fan of rubbing natural products into my ride. Have alwys used the Meguiars Carnauba stuff as well. However, I used NXT wax the other day on the RS and it was great, easy to put on, easy to take off and the shine was deep and wet. Seemed to last aswell, lets face it, if it's good enough for Asim - it's got to be pretty spot on

No worries mate - Always a pleasure

How much money have you spent Lee ?. Go on, I dare you - total up all the receipts you have and then think about the amount you paid for in cash with no receipts - then proceed directly to the looney bin for more morphin (if that's how you spell it) And yes I know it's not about the money, before I get battered - just being nosey.

Asim Mate - Good to hear from you.. Not really got my teeth stuck into it yet - so far Revo Chip with SPS3, Tanoga shortshift, K&N running about 420bhp. Only had her for about 4 months though, also did quite a bit to sort the stone chips on the front (complete mop, bumper, bonnett, wings blown over etc). Have had a light smoke on the glass and a stubby bee sting... Rammed it full of tunes though, 3 screens, DVD, Satnav, JL speakers throughout and a massive Genesis amp that kicks out over 1.1Kw RMS on the sub channel and is a metre long.!!!!! Also went for a little touch of neon with the install that I get a good ribbing from the RS forum guys.... But hey - hohum . If anyone wants some shots of the install let me know - I don't think it is fair to trash LEE's thread with pictures of my ride.. Especially as I know how long he has spent hand polishing every single bit of his engine - he has always been quite mad.. Next on the list is brakes, suspension and wheels.. (don't tell the wife though - " now I have the car of my dreams I won't need to modify it at all, as it is allready so fast etc etc etc") Biggerbigben, still holding there value fairly well, seem to range anywhere from £29k - £36K, although are a few left hookers around for around £24K. Awesome motor - so so so fast, and yet so easy to drive and normal when you want it to be. Very simular to the VR6 engine - very lazy and torquey.. I also had a Import RX-7 for a while - now that was an wesome car, it was the stripped out 'RZ' version and was very very fast.... 308bhp and it weighed as much as me. Rear wheel drive, no traction control - very scary indeed. Had to get the import thing out of my system (I had a 'sportline' golf convertible at the same time though). Sold after three months as not very practical for a drummer with a young family. Miss my VR, but did become completely obsessed with it for a year or so and it swallowed money like nothing I have had since... Still some pictures of her on Matey - Matey ttp://www.matey-matey.com/supercharged_ ... _vr6.shtml, without all the engine polishing completed), and I have the golf mag article framed on my wall (sad I know). I am amazed that the new owner does not come on here for advice - as she still burned some oil on overrun, although I think this is a common problem for a blown VR.. The forum (or old Yahoo List) was always the place to come to share a car problem or get advice and I had my fair few. Tom

Yes it is me, no news of my old beast - I would love another C, looking for one that I could strip out and use as a hillclimb or track day car. Not wishing to hijack Lee's thread - but like Webbo I have moved to the dark side..

Lee, Your car looks spot on mate - some really sweet looking rides on the forum.. Would love to see Asims, Jay's and yours all together... Not going to comment on which one I think is best as I don't think it would achieve anything, and for me creating a show car was always about what I wanted to create. Whilst creating a show acr is all about what other people think, everyone has different taste - I think of it a bit like art. I love Salvador Dali's work whilst loads of people just think of him as a 'smacked up nut bar'... Are all of the best C's from the forum going to E38 ?, when is it I would love to turn up and have a look and I don't even own a C anymore !!!! Congrats on your motor mate. Tom
