Today i tested my corrado a little bit, and i had strange situation after some 10-20 min of driving my corrado at high speed, (120-200 km/h) my oil lamp blinked for short period and i heard beep! This happened just after the speeding and when i slowed down at around 40-60 km/h, and maybe what is more important while going uphill. I looked at MFA at that moment and oil temp was 114. About 10-15 min later (normal driving bellow or around 60), again going uphill (temp on MFA was around 104-106) i heard beep again and lamp blinked again. There is enough oil in it. I have changed oil few months ago (OMV Full-syn), and i suppose that oil could influence this a lot, since the oil is really "liquid". Is it ok if i put a little bit over max oil or not? Anyone had similar situation? Your thoughts, recommendations...? I just hope that this is an oil situation and not some bigger issue...

i had same problem here, and when i replaced famous blue temp send everything worked fine, though still when its cold i have to ignite 2 or 3 times before everything starts to work fine usualy on first start engine just shuts down after 5-10 sec i suppose this is more-less usual

i'm in Bosnia so closest place would be somewhere in Austria or Germany I am not sure is there anyplace in Croatia or Serbia where i can get my G60 rebuilt. Though i have to mention since the car came from germany in 1997 it is highly possible that g60 was rebuilt somwhere around that year, since i have no issues with boost (oil and stuff). Sure i would like to go somwhere to check it and repair it if needed. btw... what about passat G60? do they have same supercharger or not? Maybe it easier for me to find completly new one.... Any other model that can fit?

160 000 km (about 130000 miles if i got i correct) i have no info was it reconstructed.... This fella told me something like, compression is okay but the capacity isn't at its best... and yes... i had face like this i have no idea what was he talking about

THE RESULT: G60Jet was wright! Blue temp sensor was cause to all my troubles with starting engine and high revs. Fuel consumption still need to be checked. Funny thing is, after i read about possible issues i went to the service and suggested them to check that. They rejected my proposals as something that couldnt possibly be out of help, and at the end of the day, they told me that in fact temp sensor was problem. Like i said, i aint going there again. btw, i haven't measured compression still, but they told me that supercharger is about 70% ok, and that i am not recieving max out of it. And another question, is it possible to restore suprecharger (how confident is this?), do you suggest to do it and where to get another one (any prices if possible)? because the price at this service for new supercharger is way to much - 3000 euros!!!!!! is this overpriced or what?

symptoms: 1. Difficult cold start, sometimes does and sometimes (more often) doesnt start from the first time. 2. High revs when idle, about 1100 rpm instead of 900 rpm 3. I believe that fuel consumption is increased as well Could this be caused if G60 charger went to hell or something else, anyway i am worried about charger. Can someone post here the secret MFA mode that allows me to measure G60 compression or whatever about it and how to use it. Is there any other way to check charger. The funny thing is that i went to official VW service and they are unable to find the solution. They are not sure about charger as well.... shitty service Thanks in advance....

what 20v turbo said is true... i was unsure of result, but i am happy with it, it was better than i expected (after initial problems, creating bumper to fits fine, is it too low, what blinkers to use....) i considered blackening the mesh, or changing grill to something else that suits the mesh... still an option will return plate on, just i want to make small one (italian style) at the time considered also doing other stuff like side skirt, rear diffusor (if my english is correct), and mirrors....but nothing out of it, i don't want to go to much into it.... cuz i am planning to sell it next year... dunno anyway thanks for sharing your opinions

and the inspiration was found here.... http://www.thecorrado.com/tuning.html

the explanation follows: eyebrow spoiler and bumper are all handmade from scratch, and the reason why i did this and why i selected golf 2 blinkers was theft ... simply, in past two months someone stole my blinkers and fog lights (original) 2 times, and considering the place where i live it is really, but really hard to find any corrado parts (i had to wait over a month for blinkers), and since i don't want to drive bad looking car i decided to do this.... i considered placing blinkers and fog lights from golf 3, but than i saw somewhere on the internet similar bumper with golf 2 blinkers and i liked it. So i did this mostly out of need, and i tried to get the best look. Anyway i still have the standard one (without blinkers ).

PUBLIC NOTICE: Please don't laugh at the words that follow. Hi there fellas from a newbie forum member and corrado owner. Here are two problems that i encounter and any help will be helpful. :D 1st problem Help needed with bad G60 idle The problem is that idle stays at 1100 rpm and not at normal 800. Now i read somethings about solving this problem by cleaning ECU contacts , but since i am 0 mechanic i need help. What the hell is ECU, where to find it under the hood and how to take i out and clean it? 2nd problem I believe this is the old one, and can someone just confirm this since i couldn't find the answer. It is about g60 cold start and problems with it. quote from corrado club that can be applied in my case: The solution seems simple, change the fuel filter. Can anyone confirm this. Thanks in advance!
