Yeah, the leads and plugs have been done and its not done it when its damp. I've drove to work Monday (8miles) and it was fine then nippe dout at dinner..still ok. then drove home and its started to do it, i've stopped off at the local vw garage but by the time I got there it was ok again so obviously they couldn't do anything. Then on the way home from there its started juddering and popping and this is when its cut out and can't start. So its doing it when its warmed up and its also done it before when I've gone for a run in it!

Please help :( ! I've got a J reg 1.8 16v which isn't running right at all. Its juddering, the rev counter's bouncing around all over the place, its backfiring & popping. The thing is...it will run ok but then every so often it just starts doing all this and cuts out. This is when it won't start. so far the ignition module, coil and more recently the distributor have been replaced and its still happening! Any ideas??

Thanks very much guys, DHL started to fob me off saying if i got an account with them and sent more than 6 parcels a year I would get a discount!!!! I'll try royal mail and see what they say, Thanks alot

I've looked at some past topics about this and can see that a few of you have sent alloys by courier. I seen that someone had managed to send theirs by DHL next day delivery for around £25-35. My problem is when I rang DHL they quoted me £260!!!! I'm looking to parcel up 4 x 17" kahn alloys with tyres (each wheel measures 60 x 60 x 25) and they weigh 17 kg each. Does the weight of alloys differ that much for it to make a hige difference in proce like this? Anyone ever sent alloys of this size/weight before? What was your charge? Cheers Gill

Right, I know you're all saying don't do it BUT... I'm not giving anyone my bank details and I'm waiting til the cheque clears til the car goes, so if the cheque bounces/is stolen etc then I just dont let them take the car?

I've had an offer for my car from a businessman in the states. I've never dealt with an overseas buyer before and was wondering if anyone out there has who could let me know what happens?? The bloke is sending me a cheque for the price of the car and the cost of shipping, I've got to then send the amount for shipping to Western Union Money Transfer who then will forward the money to the shipper. I'm getting an extra £200 out of basically for sending the money on. Anyone think there's problems with this, or a normal process for buying/selling overseas. I hope some one can shed a bit of light for me?? Cheers

Been off work for a few days, so no replies, sorry!! Firstly, can I just say andihaz I'M A WOMAN!! Right, back to the subject. Thanks for all the replies on the subject. It seems that its about right to be honest, I reset it this morning and it was coming out at about 27 and thats a straight run so I don't think there's a prob here. Cheers for your pointers!

This is my first corrado, so this may be completely normal, but I'm not sure. Does anyone else's use £25 petrol for 153 miles? Also the MPG shows 22? *mod edit - Bold doesn't work in titles.. - Henny*

:( PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!!!! :( I've not even bought my first corrado and can't get insured!!! I've had a customised beetle for the past 5 years and that was hard enough getting insured on that! DOES ANYONE OUT THERE KNOW WHO WILL INSURE ME? I'm 23, I've got 1 years no claims (due to a stupid mistake of mine) and I'm looking to insure a corrado 1.8 16v 1990, that's been lowered. I keep getting told that I can't be insured because of the car and my age and I'm getting really fu**ed off! HELP
