  1. I bought a flywheel from Jeroen Dik (i think he had them made in a shop) http://www.jdengineering.nl @olly elworthy: A VR6/G60 wont work on a 02M :)
  2. I am using a light (steel) 240mm flywheel with uprated PP and solid 6 puck clutch. It chatters badly.
  3. If you look in the Schrick catalog (can be found on their site as a PDF) you will see solid insert to convert the hydro buckets to solids: you can see them here: http://www.race101.com/project_2020.html used in a 20v. I dont have any pics of the alfa stuff.
  4. You can buy inserts of Schrick that will let you modify the hydro lifters into solids. You can also use Alfa stuff (shim under bucket) or just buy longer valves with lightweight buckets and do it right straight away.
  5. Winols/Race2000 will let you see the fuel/ignition maps so you can modify them although this isn't as easy as mapping DTA/Haltech etc. If you want to use it to modify your own ecu the program is just too expensive.
  6. You can map it using Winols/Race2000 etc.
  7. Thnx for the info. Btw BiggerBigBen: if you use the 02M gearbox remember you have to buy a new clutch and have a one mass 240mm flywheel made as the oem dualmass is too weak also be sure to get the starter with it.
  8. What driveshafts did you use in the 02M mk2 Golf Coxylaad? Did you shorten the 02M ones?
  9. 1:BBS RS301 2:BBS LM 3:BBS RS001 with wide lips. 4:Azev A 5:Porsche Cup 1 I Already got the RS301 and 001 and the Porsche wheels  I really would like to have a set of LM's.
  10. There were 71 Limiteds, number 0 to 70. They did build a Corrado 16VG60 Syncro (VWM did) and a 16VG60 fwd.
  11. Running 144mm 16v rods and pistons for this (JE and Wiseco have these in stock) will give you some extra power. My next 8V G60 is running a 2E highblock (236mm deck height vs 220mm) with a 1.8 crank and custom Carrillo's and Je's.
  12. 40/36 would fit also. There are even 42/36 heads! My new head is 40.5/36
  13. The late 4 pin Bremi coilpacks are shite, i had a lot of probs with them. I changed to a Bosch coil with 16v leads, no problems since and a better spark. Remember VW only uses the coilpacks because they are cheaper...
  14. Yes the box itself is stronger but you have extra work> gearbox mounts and extra money> drive shafts + the 02M needs a 240mm dual mass flywheel witch is a piece of crap. There are 240mm solid flywheels on the market but they cost ~ 300-500 euro.
  15. Btw BiggerBigBen: your website isn't working?
  16. I have discussed the ratios on the 02M MQ350 transfer box and the Rallye 02C transfer box with a friend of mine, trying to find out if you could swap the MQ350 transfer box on the Rallye 02C.
  17. Thats correct, the transfer box/ rear diff have different gearings. I dont know if there is a trick around that but AME runs a sort of 02M 6 speed with Seat WRC Syncro rear diff... Does Nutter4x4 use a 02M with his Haldex setup?
  18. The weak point of the Rallye Syncro system is the transfer box and the low speed the propshaft makes, not bearings
  19. I really *think* that the Haldex (in combo with the 02M MQ350 box) is stronger than the Rallye setup. The Saab 600hp Rallycross cars are running Haldex and the Xsara WRC also.
  20. AME site: http://www.ame-racing.de Fahrzeug: Golf I 8V G60 Leistung: 250 kW (340 PS) 1/4-Meile Döllen: 11,51 sek. / 196 km/h Pretty fast i think 8)
  21. My G60 had 276hp/330Nm at the crank. Now with different cam/charger/injectors i am hoping for some more (certainly feels like more! ) I am bringing it soon to JD for a custom chip. AME of Berlin had a MK1 Golf 8V G60 drag car with 330hp.
  22. Do you have pics of the Haldex in Syncro rear beam? Did you use the TT rear axles?
  23. Are you using the Haldex in a Syncro rear subframe?
  24. Nice and clean site :!: Now were can i find the price for a 62mm toothed pulley?
