Well I had to check my Mrs car the other day as she said the exhaust was banging, funny enough it was as it had no exhaust rubbers but that wasnt her fault. What was though is the fact that when I jacked the car up it felt funny so I decided to check the tyre pressures and found 12 psi in 3 tyres, when I asked her about it she said "well I dont worry about things like that the garage does that does'nt it". At the same time I have only ever been in 3 car accidents, all 3 not my own. Two of the accidents have been rear shunts one writing my corrado off and have been women on the phone, say no more. But in fairness not all women are the same...

Ok I left it alone last night. Having done numerous searches I have come across some strange suggestions as follows; Question now is this, has anyone tried any of the below and did it work, have you tried some other product with no problems, what I need to avoid is oiling the bumper so paint doesnt stick or warping the plastic. Oven Cleaner Brake Fluid Plastic Model Stripper Castrol Engine Clean Or does anyone know of a Plastic Bead Blaster?

Oh I would like to get cracking tonight, have all the sand papers just would ideally like to know if there is any decent stripper out there that could save me the trobs.

Ok guys, as some of you may know my Corrado was written off a month ago but the damage was laughable. I have just acquired a second hand bumper that needs some work, possibly more than my bumper tbh but its a good test bumper. I have a little experience of stripping cars down but not plastic bumpers, is there a maximum coursity (is that a word) sandpaper that can be used as I really dont want to be making great caverns on the bumper then spend extra time getting them out. At the same time is there any safe paint stripper that can be used on bumpers?

I would suggest trying Gwent VW, they were the only peeps i could get some of the actual locking disks from at short notice and they despatched them immediately from stock.

I see why you reference jailors now :)

Anyone who is proud of increasing their mileage needs their head read just for a nice looking number.

The bump did not do an aweful lot of damage to the car although it was a 30 mile an hour sliding hit to be honest Mike. However as I know the road very well I was most probably in 3rd but could well have been 4th. What would be the next best check for me to establish where to go next before taking the gearbox off? If it was just a tooth that in theory would not stop it going into 4th. Is it possible this just needs adjusting somewhere?

Ok as you may or may not know my corrado got written off 4 weeks ago for some petty damage. The good news is: she is now sat on my drive at home looking stunning all bar one panel. The bad news is: I can not find 4th gear its almost as though its blocked, I have checked all the cables and knuckles and everything is in place as it should be. All other gears are spot on, after the accident I believe it was spot on I can't remember as I was a bit dazed, as soon as i got the car back from the garage it was fooked. Can anyone tell me how I adjust the cables to see if this is the problem or could someone suggest anything else I can try to start isolating the problem.

Righto peeps, The Motor was seriously waxed and polished before I considered my options, as soon as I finished I stood back and stayed there for at least 5 minutes thinking "Fuk me that looks nice". So end result = Motor stays in the drive way and slowly works its way towards show condition and I will be there in one year thats my aim. As a run around I picked up a red SEAT Toledo at the weekend with 65k genuine full SEAT stamped book, R Plate, 1600 engine motor for £850, what a pleasure it is to drive with air con as well. If any of you are looking for a run around look no further, cheap as chips, VW engine sweet as a nut. I am going to keep the SEAT until it dies and run the Raddo as second car now which pleases the Kids and Mrs.

Greeny, the suspension is about 1.5 yrs old with brand new adjusters x 4 as I made sure of this then greased it only 4 mths ago. But I really have not decided what I am doing with it yet as you will see when i post the picks the damage is laughable and would cost £600 to sort out max

Hello peeps, Long time no see but ive been here dont you worry. Well my G60 got written off 3 weeks ago and just been told that im getting 3k for it + back and neck injury (still on the case) and can buy it back for £850 which I naturally bit their hand off on and it's back home, of course driven home as its fine and still havent received settlement. Tax Tested Insured but soon to be Written Off so none of the above My calculations are this; Supercharger is worth Min £250-300 as its 1 yr old MOMO Steering Wheel was worth - £80 Suspension FK Koni Coilovers - £250 OZ 17" Wheels and brand new tyres - £300 Engine and Gearbox - £120 VibraTech Engine and Gearbox Mounts x 3 £200 Miltek Full back Exhaust System - £200 Alternator £35 I have spent over 3.2k in 2 years on this so far which was originally a 102k Mileage costing me 2.8k, mileage now is 116k Question is what the fuck do I do...... Is there any interest in the parts on here? Should I sell the car as it is as a whole? Should I repair it (no problem with money but must be honest I have a family now so good time for it to go) The damage is a joke, i will post picks in a few days
