Still here if anyone needs anything else. I have helped a few out. Looking for a eurpean late style front bumper, or license plate panels, if you are interested in trading anything???? Let me know what you need.
-
late style headlamps in nice shape, bumpers, seatbelt sets, steering wheels, rear license plate panels, gauge clusters, etc. are what everybody craves over here. Personally I would be interested in a front late style bumper in nice condition, and maybe a licesne plate panel but that's about it. I have friends who would be interested in the other stuff though. I also sell tinted tails and custom clear turns and fogs. check out this link. http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=907006

there is a guy on http://www.vwvortex.com his name is Vw4sport or something, makes really nice c/f goodies
-
GsixT, Basically the american peices that did not come on your cars, seatbelts, little interior peices some body styling, steering wheels, stuff like that.

dubbprince, I'm pretty sure that UPS would handle soemthing like that. I can probably find a good front bumper cover with minimal scraping etc for about $75 -125 USD. Shipping would be extra. Do you have a color in mind? Also the g60 (our early version) has the older style lights, the SLC's or (late versions) have the turns and fogs that fit flush. Yes, the front is flat, no recess for a europlate, and their are sidemarkers. But hey, if you can find a good VR6 (late bumper) I can trade straight up, and we both just pay for individual shipping costs. Let me know either way what you are looking to do.

I could find a US spec bumper. Do you want to trade??? I'd love a late euro bumper
-
Krazee, Nice to see you on this site Louis!
-
If anyone needs US spec parts, I would be more than happy to help you out. You will get raped by companies over here, so just extending a helping hand. We could also trade some things too if money is an issue. Let me know what you guys need, if you want it new or used, and I'll get you a price. Later, ZAC

Bobbywhacker, DO not order from them! They are about 15 minutes away from my house here in the US. Horrible service, lots o' money!
-
Hi, sorry I don't frequent much here anymore. I got a job teaching special education at a local school district here in the states so it takes up most of my time. I can't find my post on here about it, but I have a link to them on the vwvortex. Here it is. Let me know if anyone is interested. I have sold quite a few sets here in the US. At any rate here is the link I promised. Custom turns and fogs

Black_G60, Ha ha that is my DIY! That's great to see that it has made it's way over to you guys! :D
-
Andi, What size is your chin spoiler? 50mm? I think that would look great on my US spec bumper.
-
A20 LEE, Could you give me some more info on the wheels and tires you are running. I really like the setup and am wondering if anything like that is offered here in the states. Thanks I appreciate it.
-
I've seen 19" on a raddo!!! In my opinion that is way too much. I think 18" wheels are pushing it. I would go with 17" wheels :) . They look nice, the ride is not too harsh, and the wheels are a little bit cheaper than the other two sizes. Don't forget about tire cost also! :D

2CC, Yeah, I can't wait to get the front fixed and loose the filler cover thing. I'm either gonna go with a Carbon fiber hood or a Fiberglass. Might as well go lighter when I replace it. 8)

iceman, If you mean the Hurst T handle, I don't think so. Strictly Foreign has recently (in the past few years) been carrying more and more japanese products for japanese cars. There prices have gone skyrocket on just about everything and their customer service is horrible. I have learned through experience. If you mean the fuel door cover I think they have them. The best place to get a Hurst T-handle pretty cheap is any autoparts store like A&A, Pep Boy's, Autozone, or National Auto. I got mine at Pep Boys years ago. I love it!!
-
Nik Patel, I am ddefinetly getting rid of that gas filler door cover fo sho!!! jims16v, The shift knob is a Hurst T -handle just screws right on. I really like them and have one in my GTI too! It's great because it has indentations in it for your hand and fingers. I drag race the Corrado alot so it really feels good in the hand and works well when flying through the gears. You can either get them in polished, brushed aluminum, or different colors (I think) Pretty cheap over here in the states if you guys are interested. They became very popular in the fifties over here with drag racing and are very popular on American Muscle cars. Let me know if you guys are interested I'll find out how much they are. 8)

iceman, Yeah, I checked out that hood a few times before already but thanks for the heads up. I am just not a fan of carbon fiber hoods. Especially those who don't have them painted. I'm not knocking it, but I just would not put one on my car. I think I am going with fiberglass because it is lighter and cheaper than carbon fiber. Plus Jay's house of Euro sells one for I think around $300. vr6storm, thanks for the comment. What do the 911 mirrors look like on a C? Does anyone have pics? 146 driver, Yes, I hated those rims. The PO butchered them anyway by hitting numerous curbs. Plus they were so soft that the front two were almost square. I am also not a fan of the rubber that he used Yokohama A52's or something. They were horrible. If I would have driven on them a week longer they would have blown out on me. On two of the tires the rubber was seperating from the bead!!! I will never buy that brand tire again And the fuel cap sticker thing is going bye bye with the respray also. I have no clue why he put it on there. I guess to spice up that side of the car or something. Thanks for the compliments, and suggestions fellas keep em coming!!!! :D

Well, I have strung you fellas along too long. I finally got a chance to clean her up to the best of my ability and decided to take pictures at the local cement kilns by my house. This was the best place I could find to take pictures because this area used to be highly industrial. Hope you like them. Keep in mind it is from across the pond guys, and the digital camera sux!! Oh and the previous owner (PO) had a hella long commute on the PA turnpike every day. Can you tell? The only scenery in my area is industry. Sorry!! Holy rock chips batman!! The PO must have aimed for every rock. But here you can get a good look at the fogs and turns I am selling in my signature. My recently tinted tails which I will be producing for sale soon!! The best shot I got, IMHO. Here are a few pics of the interior. Notice the Hurst T handle Oh yeah!! And a shot of me drag racing when I first bought the car two years ago. And yes I was racing on 17's which are now sold. I hate TSW. Too soft for my liking. Well guys there she is. I have plans for a respray very soon. It will be in the same color that it is now burgundy pearl with a little bit more pearl in the mix. I have Rieger Infinity sideskirts waiting to go on the car as well as your style headlights which are way better than the American ones. I also am planning on either putting on a Dietrich RS, or the new Rieger bumper (I forget the model), 3 bar badgeless grille w/spoiler, M3 mirrors, shaved doors, fiberglass hood (thanks to the speed buldge), and a shaved rear. What do you think? Any comments, opinions. Constructive critisicm is very welcome. I am hungry for european suggestions. Let me know. :) Thanks fellas, as always 8) ZAC

we know what you drive and what you do!but how old are you??
Buddha replied to vr6storm's topic in General Car Chat
I'm 22. I'll be 23 in August. I have been driving an 86 GTI since I was sixteen. It is now my pizza delivery vehicle and daily driver. When I was seventeen I bought a 77 beetle. It was the last year for a standard beetle in the U.S. and it is fuel injected. I started restoring it and have sort of let it go. Gotta get back into that project I bought the Corrado when I was 20. I use this car for nice days and drag racing. Currently my project car. Seems to love peices that cost lots of money. ha ha -
WOW, this really took off. I just posted this last night, while you all were sleeping over there. Lots of unique professions guys!

Well, I just graduated from college and am currently substitute teaching in the area that I grew up in. I really get along well with kids and it is great feeling to help someone learn something new that they did not understand. But since substituting does not have health or dental insurance I deliver pizza on the weekends to make some extra pocket change and health and dental come out of my paycheck. If I don't have a FT contract teaching positon by September I am moving to West Palm Beach Florida and am going to try my luck there. I also dabble in making custom stuff for Corrado's see my signature. So this is how I get $ do fix the Raddo, and have a little spending cash on the side. Other than that I play guitar, listen to music alot, and work on ideas for the Corrado. What do you guys do? Do you like it??

iceman: I don't mind rice. As long as they are not too immature. I hate hanging out with immature people, that is how trouble starts. But I would definetly be down for hanging out. Most probably in April. It is too damn cold to hang out outside yet. Plus my car will get hella dirty quick with all the road salting in PA this time of year. Uh, just give me a call when you think something is coming up. I need about a week's notice so I can get off of work. 610-248-8017, just ask for ZAC. Later guys.

iceman: I would definetly be up for some Philidelphia Area get togethers. As a matter of fact I was just in King of Prussia for a meet on 3/2. Over 100 cars showed up!! It was a great time. Oh, and as far as Pottstown goes.... I go down there a few times a year with my friends. We usually cruise up and down high street and hang out at Mickey D's until the fuzz shows up. Just email me or something when you wanna hang. kevhaywire: SLC stands for Sport Luxury Coupe. Yes we did get very shortchanged and always seem to with engine capabilities. Your 2.9L accesories and bolt ons are highly wanted in the states such as inatke manifolds, and throttle bodies. Hell I'd take a 2.9L if shipping wasn't so much. I'll check around and see how cheap I can get the nuespeed bars for. As the vortech superchargers go. What are you looking for. They are not too cheap over this way either. But let me know what you are interested in and I'll check it out. jimscorrado: If you are in the New York area this will take up most of your time. You won't want to leave. This is the best city hands down in the U.S. On I think July 21 and 22 the biggest VW show in the state is in New Jersey. It is called Waterfest. I think this is the sixth annual one. This is regarded as one of the biggest annual events worldwide!!!! I actually get tired, sunburnt and very drunk every year at this show. I have never ever seen more vdubs in one location!!! This is a must see when you come over. It takes place at Raceway Park in New Jersey. check out the website I think it is http://www.waterfest.com not sure on the ending. Try a search if it doesn't work. Guys, I'll try to get some pics of my car up as soon as the snow melts and I can actually clean my car well enough. I hate cleaning it when I know it is going to get dirty five minutes after I wash it.

Hi, everybody. My name is Zac :D . I am from Allentown, PA in the U.S. and normally frequent the VWVortex. I happened to stumble upon your site last night and figured I would give it a shot. Very nice setup here I might add. This forum is more centered around my car so I think I will be frequenting here more often. Just wanted to say hello and hope to have some interesting conversations with you all in the future :) . I took a look at most of the recent posts and there seems to be alot of guys on here that are very helpful, and look out for each other. If you guys need anything from the states let me know. There are alot of junkyards around the area with Corrado's. Let me know what you need and the going price for these things over there. I will definetly try to beat that price  . I would of course ask for that comrodory in return. I don't know if I spelled that right, but oh well. A little bit about my car before I go.... It is a U.S. spec Burgundy Pearl 92 Corrado SLC 2.8L DOHC, custom fogs, turns, eurosport cai, low temp thermo/switch, momo interior, diamond audio components, alpine deck, koni shocks, h&r springs, genie header, remus catback, DE upgraded brakes. Take it easy fellas! Hope to chat with you all very soon. Dub Pride!!!! 8)
