Hi All Have recently had her rebored to a 3.0l over size pistons etc, am really happy with the work done as she pulls harder and smoother than before, have also recently fitted an enlarged throttle body, (from germany for £110 no exchange :D :D) I was amazed by the difference it made lower down the rpm range! The guy also does polished/flowed manifolds is it worth it? My main question to you guy is how many miles should i leave it before re-maping? I think I would go to stealth for this as amd are getting a bit pricy!
  2. :twisted: ] :-P :) Hi all I have recently had my VR rebuilt, i had the head and block skimmed and it was re bored to (3.0l) and fitted with Mhale oversize pistons. I was wondering what power/torque gains others have gained from doing this, I was also going to get her re-mapped at stealth, but wondered how many miles i should do first to loosen the engine, I have already done the 1000 miles below 3k, which was i might add a very chanlenging ordeal!! :wink:
  3. yep i do have a vr6, and until the head going she has run realy well. does any no of any cheeap r32 engines going for sale.
  4. I'm currently having my corrado engine rebuilt, cost around 2k including labour @ £27/hr my head went but i also need head and block skimming, so everything has to come out, anthing which is replaceable on and around the block i'm replacing with new. sherry p

Hi all She is currently under the knife, the head gasket went, so i was going to replace this, however it turns out that earlier on in life she has got very hot and with wrong or weak coolant in, basically this has meant I need to have head and block skimmed. does anyone know if any others have survived such surgery and what any future implications may be. Also other than having head reconditioned and timming chain plus tentioners replaced is there anything else I should be doing. If the engine can't be fixed I was tempted to try and shoe horn an R32 lump in there. Any thoughs or suggestions welcome. thanks
