  1. I think I should be ok then with a 3 point harness, thanks for the MOT tips I'll make sure I get a branded quick release one. I found this site as well http://www.securon.co.uk/seat_belts_firstframe.htm but I think it might be easier/cheaper just to go with a harness. Does make sense that a harness is safer but it probably also depends on how tight you wear it. Will also have to make sure I get good anchor point put into the floor. Now if I had a roll cage maybe it'd be an easier decision
  2. yeah I dont reckon a harness is practical, neither is swapping seats back around as they wont go back on now that the seat brackets are in place. Only option I think is going to be buying some sort of complete generic seatbelt replacement set and hoping the guys at the garage can work out somewhere to bolt it all onto. Did't know about the MOT issue, makes me reckon that I wont feel safe with just a harness now.
  3. Good news, my new seats are installed, bad news, I cant drive my car anymore cos the seat belt socket is built into the seats that I have now removed doh! so I have nowhere to clip my seatbelt into now Is it possible to buy separate seat belt socket and bolt them to the floor? If not I guess I'm going to have to buy a harness. Anyone recommend a good harness? My seats only have one slot in the headrest so I might even be screwed for a harness. http://www.islandmotorsports.com/cgi-bin/merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=IMO&Product_Code=NRGEVOBLK&Category_Code=IS
  4. Cheers guys, using the digital oil gauge is all very well but theres no big red bar to indicate when to panic. Those numbers should give me a rough guide and reassuring fit into what I've been seeing of around 100 up to 120 in summer traffic. Not having to top up coolant and having no temp gauge was kinda makes me a bit paranoid. For a fiver a thermostat replacement is going to have to go up on my todo list .
  5. My temp gauge is not working, however scrolling through the MFA computer I see an oil temperature reading, can I just use this instead? What kind of running temperature range is normal? cheers

really amazing that enduring scottish winters I have never noticed that, I reckon is kinda thing I would miss if it werent there maybe I'll wait until winter and see.
  7. phew thats a relief, ta for the link beji16v, I think i'll go with that sparco universal kit.. Is better that it is already black rather than that omp anodised one. Andi, the air on the inside is defo different(especially when your exhaust manifold is cracked or your a magic tree junky) The Seats look a bit better in the photo than they are(there is no chrome or leather on mine). I reckon thats parta the trick for ebay though real nice pictures and loadsa small print! will get some pics up once they're in
  8. I have just bought some random new seats off ebay as I could't afford any recaros They look ok but nobody has ever heard of them. http://www.getnrg.com/nrgseat_RSC100.php Now that i have had them delivered the guy advises me that no seat brackets are included. Any ideas where I can get universal seat brackets to fit a corrado? There is just 4 bolts on the bottom of the seats. I am guessing I would likely have to get holes drilled in a universal bracket. darn the temptation of ebay!! thats what I get for trying to do stuff on the cheap. any help is much appreciated.
  9. Can you not just stick your old lights back on to get through an MoT or is that a real hassle?

I am doubting the electirc heated function is working if the electric adjust function has gone (guess I need to feel up my mirrors and check) Think I'll go with the 3 series tinted anti dazzle it must look alright if your prepared to take pictures. Then I'll be fixing the problem and adding a little mod too. The stick-on element was making me think it would all be a little bit blue peter but if it covers the old glass then I'm sure it'll be ok How you planning to replace it all crazy marcel? can you remember how much they are kvwloon? cheers
  11. only if its blue:) surely if you just have orignal rusty worn out leads these would make some sorta difference

Howdy, I'm sure this is quite common but I canny find anything so... My wing mirror glass is all minging around the edges, its kinda like the reflective bit has peeled off, this looks bad and it is not so good for seeing stuff with. So I sees some replacment sticky back wing mirror glass in halfords Will this look crap if I just stick it on or should I smash/remove glass and replace instead of sticking halford glasss on top of old glass? is this even possible I can't see how u would remove mirror or take it apart My electricy adjust on the wing mirrors dunny work either, complete replacements are well expensive and i have feeling its probably just ceased up with age. any ideas? cheers
