I bought my 1999 1.4s ibiza about a month ago. Firstly I noticed a fault with the stereo, as it wouldnt stay off so I started to take the fuse out overnight as it was draining the battery. Now the unit has been sent off as apparently it is a common fault, so now I have now stereo heater controls etc. But there is something still draining the battery overnight, although as soon as I jump start it then turn it off immediatly it starts with no problems or hesitation. Has anyone else come accross this? Any reply will be very much apriciated. Thanks Emma

Would it still flicker with a brand new battery straight away if its the altenator????? Just asking :D

Its definately not loose because I triple checked when I put the new one on. And there is no worn wires showin on the clamps. :( Thanks so far

My battery light started flickering, on tuesday and I promised myself to look at it on the weekend. Lastnight I put petrol in and when I tried to start her up again there was nothing there. A friend came with some jump leads and she started first time, but only travelled 200 yards before she completely died again. I put a new battery in but the light is still flickering????? when its just idleing the light doesnt come on, but the more pressure I put on the throttle the more it flickers and it doesnt seem to matter if I have the stereo lights heater etc on or not !!! :? Anyone with any suggestions what is wrong ?? Any help will be great Cheers Emma :)

Its been cutting out since I bought it last August, since then Ive replaced all the standard things, all filters, spark plugs etc. But over the last couple of months the bunny hops have started ............................ and I have let someone else drive her just incase, and its definately not my driving. I will give it a clean and see how I get on. Do I just use carb cleaner or is there somthing spacific? Thank guys Emma

93 2ltr 16vlv Im not not sure about the sensor part, but it is getting worse. Its not very responsive and it tends to bunny hop when my foot is in a certain place. Not very good for street cred

After seeing many people with similar problems to me (cutting out bunny hops etc) Ive pin pointed it to the TB. I just got a quote off my main dealer......... £885 + vat :pale: Is it worth getting these second hand? Or is there anything else I can do? Any help will be very much appriciated  Emma
