  1. 1. No 2. Only if she signed a disclaimer first...
  2. NottsCounty I asked the same question here http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=38530 I was also looking to swap for the standard speedlines but I'm starting to prefer them as they are a bit more chunky. I think I'll try a K&N panel filter for a while and see how I get on with it, cheers for the help everyone! Looking forward to going to some shows or meets when they start up.
  3. will a panel filter do it or does it have to be a full cone type induction kit?
  4. Well got my VR back from it's major service, the mechanic said it was one of the best he'd seen so well pleased with that :D The only faults were rear axle bushes are split, I thought as much (VW want £423 - Awesome will do it for £225 so I know where I'm going) and they reported a hole in the middle exhaust box (I can't hear any blowing at all) and get this, the quote for a replacement is £576  . I'll see what awesome say when they do the bushes, hopefully it can be welded up, is that where the cat is and why it's so expensive? Cheers all, Derek
  5. right I'ver got used to it now, plus my 4 year old won't face forward till he's seen it come up
  6. cheers for the comments chaps! The paint does look black when it's cloudy but looks amazingly deep blue when it get's the sun on it. It's in at VW for a service tonight so I'll see what they report back about the issues. The engine noise is something I was looking forward too but tbh it's a bit quiet, I struggle to hear the engine on tickover and after 4k the note changes but thought it would be louder, I've had to start driving with the window cracked open so I can hear it :-).
  7. Thought I'd best pop in and say hello! Just picked up my first corrado, It's a 93 VR6 in Moonlight Blue, 75k miles FVWSH and only one owner from new. Cloth interior but mint no wear anywhere even on the bolsters. Just getting a major service done at VW this week as it was last done 18 months and 2.5k miles ago and there a few issues I want looking at, any advice welcome, namely, there's a slight grind through the clutch pedal only in 1st and only once the first time you set off in the morning (sticking cable?) there's a slight wobble when on/off throttle, I'm guessing engine or gearbox mounts? it's a bit jittery on rough roads, the rear steps out over big potholes, I'm guessing rear bushes? Apart from that I'm pretty pleased with it, it's taking a bit of getting used to as my last car was a Mk1 G60. Got my first wave on Saturday, grey/violet C on Park Lane Macclesfield, and had a lot of people just stop and watch it drive by! It's nice to feel I'm driving a legend 8) . Cheers, Derek
  8. I just prefer it down, I've only had the car 2 days so guess I'll get used to it :-)
  9. Great that's the one! Looks like there's less drag with it down, can it be switched off easily?
  10. I'm sure I've seen picture somewhere of a C in a wind tunnel showing the difference in airflow with the spoiler up and down. I can't find it anywhere, anyone else seen one or did I imagine it? Cheers, Derek.
  11. dazzyvr6 I think you got it in one, here's a pic from the ebay ad. So was there a Corrado campaign? Thought that was just a Golf edition but I'm new to Rado's so I'll do a search for more info. Glad to hear these wheels are relatively rare, they are all in good nick as the car has only done 75k, one owner from new! Still prefer the normal ones but may keep for originality. Cheers for the help!
  12. I'm pikcing up a VR6 tomorrow :D it's got 15" 5 spoke speedlines, they look silmilar to the usual VR6 ones but are more rounded and the guy rekons they were fitted from new, just wondering if they were a dealer option at the time and if there is a demand for them as I prefer the standard items tbh. I'll post pics when I collect the car but if they ring any bells please let me know. Thanks, Derek
