With a set of used tyres obviously makes things more tricky in determining a price.

Trying to choose BBS wheels for rado [set of 4]. Can anyone: a) Confirm which BBS came standard with which car? b) give a typical asking price for each style [2nd hand - good nick] This site lists some. http://www.oxfordshirevwoc.co.uk/wtrwheels.htm But Im also under the impression that the G60 came with RM's [not RA's]. The RS 001 splits look very fancy, I guess these ask top price, but were not a vw option?! Any tips will help!

Any one know the going rate for the Lacquer coat only [ie take the rims already clean/polished] ? :?:

Going by Pic.7 Gix-er must have problems fitting into his Raddo with those long legs. Nice colour & wheels

600's should be fun, yet more money. Is that Hondas only? Or includes the likes of R6? The 400 suites my size, or even a RS250. I used to have an RS125 Extrema, very neat bike, but i couldnt fit on a 125gp bike with my 10st lard-ass. Nice pic, shows the real picture huh. It reminds me of 1000's blasting past the 400 on track days down a straight. Once day i will go on track days; ive missed the boat for racing.

Ideal for me: Whey-hey, gone and bougt it at last. M plate. I know its not a vr6 but on my budget the 16v is perfect. Stepping from the Golf CL Mk2, it feels very cool. A much stiffer lower ride given by the lower springs & 17" wheels certainly makes you feel the road. Sat lower down I feel like im in a much sportier car; heads do turn. Engine pick a bit slower than the golf but once the foot is firmly on the pedal the revs keep picking up. Its a luxury to have CD, abs and other things. The Spoiler certainly is a boys-toy, which i soon forget about. Steering feels slightly heavy, not sure if thats normal or the set-up. The set-up is wrong though; tracking off, means it 'white-lines', and scuffing the inner tyre line on front. Everything is in working order, fingers crossed. The non-standard Alarm has a mind of its own. Im thinking of going back to standard with springs & 15" wheels [bbs]. The 17" are a constant worry for theft & damage. Been out in this car more in one week than in a month with the Golf. Enough said! More pics will follow when i get my own camera.

Whats the best way of securing your wheels? (be it standard or aftermarket)

HarrowVW Please clarify about service book, as your message to me said Logbook; which do you mean is lost, the service book or V5 form? cheers

Thanks to ALL you guys ^^^^ It seems some owners/dealers have told porkies; many claiming the active spoiler was only a stick on bit of plastic. 2.0 16v seems best bet for my budget (if only i could afford a VR6). I know reliability is not in the same legue as many modern cars but its still a solid VW. Problems selling my Golf, means budget is closer to £3k, but this seems to be the common price for the 2.0. [the Golf is in good nick, but bad time of year to sell and i cannot justify £35 advert for a £300 car] THANKS AGAIN ~ cant wait ! :)

You sure know about it if you're on a bike, you soon learn wheres a safe place and not. Or die! I bet the car infront hadnt left much room behind the lorry to tuck into Best of luck.

Which one should I buy, pending my preferences: I know i cannot afford running cost of VR6. This will be my first Corrado, although had plenty of drive time in Scirocco. I wish to find a car that: 1. is reliable 2. lost maintenece £ out of the selection I want to find one with: 3. Milage under 100k 4. Mint condition 5. Standard - VW parts used, keep insurance down (as im 24) 6. History; Mot's, More questions: 7. Im a tad confused which version is better, is the 2.0 16v more reliable & is it slower than the 1.8? 8. Im considering ruling out the G60 due to maintenance cost 9. Im looking to spend £3k but for £4k it would have to be very low milage and pristene con' 10. one with a higher spec internally would be a Bonus! 11. WHICH has the ACTIVE SPOILER ????? If YOU can have a stab at helping answer the above points, Great ! (appologies if this is in the wrong section)
