I was getting out of my Corrado last night when a guy who happened to be walking past stopped and admired it. As I got out he looked at me and said "Gorgeous mate! Corrado innit?" "Yeah" I replied "VR6?" "Er, yeah" "Best car ever made - I've always wanted one - enjoy" And with that he was off with the occasionally look over the shoulder. Made me feel proud to own it and also put me in a little shock as he was the first passer by to know exactly what the car was! :D

Just to let you know, I replaced the radiator fan switch at the weekend and it sorted the problem. It was easier than I thought too as at first I thought it would be rad out job but I got to it by taking out the battery and using a deep socket over the switch. It was a 10 min job and now my fan cuts in and out as it should :)

My '92 VR has just started to do this too. Have already ordered a fan switch from Euro Car Parts. Will let you know how I get on.

Yes, I did indeed :) It was good to meet you Roger and thanks for providing me with some very tidy calipers. They cleaned up a treat and will be going on the car ASAP. I can't wait to get behind the wheel of my Corrado again. Thanks again Roger and eveyone else who has posted. :)

Oooo that is a very good price! Thanks! I'm very interested. I take it they are in full working condition etc? PM sent :)

Thanks for your help guys - I would have just bought those ones from GSF so you have saved me a lot of frustration, time and money :)

Hey guys. Sorry if this has been covered before, I did do a search but couldn't find what I was looking for. I need a new front caliper for my VR6 but it seems GSF only sell ones for the 16V (part number: 65660). Are the calipers the same or do I need VR specific ones? Thanks for your help :)
-
Yep, that's how mine came from VAG for the VR but without the nuts - just bolts
-
Cheers for the offer :) I only wanted the boots in the first place - not the pins. I probably didn't make it clear in the first place - sorry! I bought a slider kit in the hope that it would contain the boots and would fit the VR. Turns out, the slider kit for the MK3 from GSF only contains the boots anyway but they are certainly not what came off my rear calipers so have sent them back I have now bought the boots from VW. Thanks for the kind offer though :)

Sorry, I was talking about the boots, not the pins that Toad was talking about. The boots are available seperatley from VW. The rear slider kit from GSF doesn't come with the pins either, it is literally just the boots. However, the MK3 ones they sent (as they don't stock the Corrado ones) are nothing like those on the Corrado. I checked the part numbers and they have sent the boots they list as MK3 Rear Slider Kit. Unless they marked them up wrong... possible I guess. They certainly wouldn't work as they are solid rather than concertina’d and the two boots in each kit are of different lengths.

UPDATE: The MK3 Golf slider kits are NOT the same as the '92 Corrado VR so abort the mission! I will be sending mine back to GSF, slap the guys wrist who told me they were the same and going straight round to VW tomorrow to get the proper parts. That will learn me for being lazy and ordering over the phone! :)

Euro Car Parts sell the sensor for £40.60 plus the VAT for the VR6 Dunno if they are all the same? Euro Car Parts part number for VR6 rear ABS Sensor: 417 44 0260 Just got mine, it is correct and fits nice :)

Right just FYI I spoke to GSF and the slider kit does contain the slider pin boots and the guy reckons the ones for a mark 3 golf (part no. 62599A) will fit. I ordered a set so I will let peeps know what the kit consists of and if it fits. :)

Hi guys, I tried the search but I couldn't find squat on what I want. Am I right in saying that a caliper slider kit should contain the carrier guide rubber seal (the little concertina’d bit)? I need all four for the rear (both sides) and the only place I have found that might sell them (other than VW) is GSF in a Caliper Slider Kit but these are for a MK3 Goof (I'm guessing they will fit). Has anyone bought one of these? Does it contain the carrier guide seal? The GSF part number is: 62599A Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks guys, Jon

Mine used to catch all the time. Just let it catch on the road till it eventually falls off ;) Only messin! Mine did break on one of the retaining bolts but the other 3 bolts came off fine. I haven't had a problem since it was taken off and now I don't scrape a thing!
