Very kind of you! - I'm in Glasgow, so I'll try and sort out delivery; I'm sure I'll be able to get it sent up using a pallet courier. I'll look into it and get back to you ASAP. Thanks again for the offer!!!!!! Brett

Sounds great, how much do you want for it? My '92 box has the manual sport switch, did your '94 box have that or the later type, i.e. changing depending on driving style - or do you know if it it's still the same box with a different ECU? I'm assuming you'll know as you seem to have a few posts on most of the VR6 autoboxes threads I've read. Cheers, Brett

I did the N/S drive shaft seal on the box about 2 weeks earlier and the level was spot-on, there were no signs of any leaks and the seal was still fine after the fluid loss. I'm gutted as this is the place in Glasgow where most transmission specialists send their autoboxes for repair. I've got a few contacts for places to try from my brother who's into Audi's Anyone heard of http://www.testransmissions.co.uk or http://www.gearchange.co.uk? as I'm gonna try them. Cheers

Thanks for the offer, but I need to keep it auto for the sake of my manualphobic wife, who uses it more than me.

After reading dozens of posts on the subject of VR6 Autobox malfunctions, I finally booked my C into a 'respected' Auto transmission specialist as it was intermittently sticking in 3rd gear. Their synopsis after clearing the fault codes was that the oil needed topping-up (they put 1.5-2l in) although I had checked it less that 2 weeks previously and it was bang-on. And that 4th gear was 'gone' - the quote for a re-build => £1,400+VAT!! It doesn't end there......1 mile down the road I smelled burning oil and assumed they had spilt some ATF on the engine. As I only live 2.5 miles from the garage I kept heading for home, by which time the car looked like it was on fire. Once I stopped outside my house all drive was gone and it looked as though someone had dumped a bucket of oil on the box - it was pi**ing out everywhere. I checked the oil level and it was about a third full - the rest was on the street. I called the garage and put it to them that they had overfilled the box as the level was fine before I took it to them; they said I hadn't checked it properly and that the engine had to be running and box in P. Credit to them they came out to look at it and said the bell housing gasket had gone, but it was just a coincidence that it happened after they had checked it. I'm sure the autobox only takes 3l, and that I've been checking it correctly for the last 2.5 years since I bought it and had all the fluids/filters/etc changed. I didn't get an owner's manual with the car. Can anyone help......I'm lost and hope this isn't the end of my C. Cheers.

How're u getting on with the ADP's? Satin Black would be the best finish. Does the door or lock mechanism need any alterations to fit? On a related note what does your handle repair kit consist of and how much? The handle that was damaged by the would be tea-leafs is a bit sticky now. Cheers

Does anyone know where I can get a hold of a pair of Armor Door Plates for my Corrado. Some scum tried to blag my VR6 whilst I was on holiday - they didn't even manage to get in, but damaged the door skin. So its either claim the insurance or try to cover up the mess and stop them trying again. A web search has revealed a manufacturer in the States (LJ Hill International), but no website; they have a freephone no 1-800-ADP LOCK, but you can't call the US toll free no's from the UK - No one appears to sell them in the UK. Help....please!
