  1. I know what you mean about the gate chrishill, I've been advised to leave it on. Also to add some large lights so I can see the roo's before I hit them. Thanks for site Gibber! Anyone else own one in here?
  2. Thought I'd post a picture of my new wheels in Australia. Although I still miss my Corrado and have some regrets not taking it with me, hopefully this will ease the pain! The condition outside is pretty good however needs alot of work inside as most of the units have been removed. Does anyone know of a good VW Camper forum/club/website for general advice in the UK or Australia. Thanks Jim
  3. Green K plate going through Mapperley shops, Nottingham - you may of heard my wife shouting CORRADO!. Any one here?
  4. I have a wire with a blue clip on the end hanging down just inside the front bumper on the drivers side - I presume this is the outside temp sensor? is there a housing for this or does it just hang? Thanks Jim

    Toad alarm

yep, 10 seconds and doors lock, opens immediately when ignition is turned off. It's down as an additional feature in the user guide but I can't find the 1-2-3-4 button sequence to turn itt off.

    Audi TT

That would be me. I had a 180 TT, liked the look of the car, interior was real nice but that was it. Loads of problems from corroded wires to a new instrument cluster which would of cost £800+ with out the warrantee. Gear box was awfull, my wife couldn't even drive it. Had the car for just over two years and lost £1000's. Don't get one, VR6 is x10 better.
  10. Has anyone heard of or use Fuchs Titan Oil? (XTR 10w-40)
  11. Thanks for all your help, just been to buy the oil form the local VW shop and they have replaced the quantum silver with 'Fuchs Titan XTR' anybody know anything about it or use it? wasn't sure so didn't get it.
  12. Thanks for that, what's the copper sump washer? is this on the drain plug or filter housing? I have a washer here which I presume is for the housing. Is it correct not to over tighten the filter housing?
  13. Any do's and don'ts changing the filter and oil on a VR6? I presume this is a very straight forward job? Thanks Jim

    servicing

I'm in Mapperley, Where abouts are you? any idea of price for the timing belt to be checked? Jim
  21. first of all - hello. I have recently bought a L 94' vr6. I had the car serviced immediately at a VW specialist and everything was Ok. Lucky for me as I know nothing about the Corrado (well any car actuallly) just think they look fantastic. After reading something about timing chains I am now a little concerned, the car has done 118K. It runs fine - well I think it does. Can I get the chain inspected and can anyone recommend a garage in the nottingham area? Also any advise on maintanence, simple checks to keep the car running I would be very grateful. I'm sure this will be the first of many questions/problems so thank you in advance for any help. I 'll need it!
