This is actually the second coolant leak I've had recently and after checking the reciept 027 121 133 E was the item I changed which attaches to the top radiator hose. The part that's leaking this time is to the right of this flange, and after having no joy identifying it on Ekta in the VW dealership I open the bonnet to show them the item in question, they said it is coolant breather assembly 048 103 772 £17 +VAT. They advised me that it wasn't in stock but would be with them in 2 days. After phoning them, as they didn't phone me, they said it was on back order an couldn't give me a date for availability. I have just descovered that it's still on back order and wont be available until 30 April - that's nearly 2 months away! Does anyone know if there is any other way of getting this part sooner, GSF and Euro Car Parts say it's dealer only. Cheers John

Hi, I've currently got a coolant leak not too bad at the moment, but want to sort it soon. I'm fairly certain it's leaking from the plastic housing which feeds a number of pipes located to the right of the top hose plastic flange circled in the picture. Can anyone tell me what this part is or even better the part no? It's a 2.0l 16v 9a Cheers John

Can anyone with a 9a engine confirm if you have this sensor fitted it's #4 in the attached picture. I was looking at mine and there is no sign of it and no wiring for it. Why would it not be fitted?

Exactly - It seems that if your enquiring about anything other than the current range of cars they are completely clueless. So if anyone can help it would be most appreciated.

They cant identify the part no??? I really don't know why. They say the details on the 9a engine code is sketchy at best. Just wondering if someone with etka can check on the forum.

Does anyone have etka to check the part no for me. Thanks John

Hi Can anyone explain where this sensor is located on a 2.0l 16v 9a - or a photo showing it would be even better. Thanks

My car (2.0l 16v 9a) has for a long time had the problem of stalling when coming up to juctions etc, but the other day it really struggled to fire and when it did, it ran really rough. I've had it plugged into VAG-COM and had these fault codes: 00524 Knock Sensor 1 (G61) 03-10 - No Signal - Intermittent 00281 Vehicle Speed Sensor (G68) 03-10 - No Signal - Intermittent I know that the speed sensor fault is due to the engine not running at the time, but should the knock sensor fault come up without the engine running? Also if the knock sensor is faulty would it cause this kind of problem? I couldn't get the car to fire so don't know if the knock sensor fault will come up again until the battery is charged up again. I've had new these parts fitted recently to rule these out: Distributer cap/Rotor arm HT leads Hall sender Plugs Lambda sensor Thanks in advance John

Thanks for the answers.

Can anyone tell me where the lambda sensor is located? Is it near the cat? Cheers John
