So im going to upgrade the front speakers in the doors to components (5.25) with tweeters in the dash, having read many posts about this and due to budget restraints (those audioscape pods do sure look nice tho!) I can't decide between the Alpine SXS-1357 or the JBL GTO 506Ce both are in the sub £50 category hence I can't afford focals or infinity's. What do people think? Im perhaps thinking JBL's?? Cheers

On my old raddo the grill on the top of the dash (windscreen demist) has discoloured and it really needs to be removed and sprayed or replaced. But can I get the bloody thing out! Ive never had the dash out of a corrado, but the grills look as if the should pull out and up, but without pulling so hard that i destroy the bloody thing i am out of ideas. Any ideas anyone? :?:

O.K, the time has come to replace the car mats in my rado, the current ones (which i think are original) are black and have the 'corrado' text on the front mats. I would like something very similar, obviously VW stealer's are going to rape me for any any original OEM mats so I have to come with an alternative. Has anyone order a new set of mats from anywhere recently? I see there are lots of companies offering tailor made mats etc, but are they going to fit correctly as I would guess that not many of them actually have measured the corrado floor plan and are just having a guess at it! Any help/comments appreciated.

So, for about the last 6 months my 16v'er has started running rough around idle to about 3000 RPM when ive gone through large puddles, but now its getting worse and is doing it most of the time! I started by cleaning up every possible electrical sensor on the right hand side of the engine and i just pictured water getting in somewhere-perhaps just giving the ECU some weird sig, that didn't fix anything so ive also replaced the; spark plugs, HT leads, distributor cap, rotor arm and swapped coils. It feels like its hunting at idle/perhaps running on 3 cyl then when you put your foot down chugs a bit and then suddenly leaps into life at higher revs (>3000) almost as if the spark becomes powerful enough to get it running back on 4 cyl. Anyone had a similar problem?? All I have is the haynes golf manual which features a small supplement on the 16v engine- is the factory corrado manual worth getting? does it feature much on the 16V engine? Any help appreciated, Cheers

When I brake, not particularly hard in my 'C' the back left wheel always locks up, way before any of the other wheels feel like they are braking anyway near locking force. Its had a new set of pads all round in the last year or so and I bled it correctly and replaced the brake fluid whilst doing this. Does the 'c' have brake pressure requlator which may be at fault or could this problem lie in the master brake cylinder or even the caliper itself?, the handbrake works fine. Any ideas appreciated.

Hi all, my 1.8 16Valver has now covered 120K and sometimes sounds a bit rattily/tapitity. I have always changed the oil within the recomended interval. Its due for an oil change this week and im not sure to use one of these engine flush products before changing the oil this time. Has anyone else tried these products?? Cheers

Has anyone got a lot of experiance with clutches? Had my 1.8 16 Valver for about 6 years now and its always had this problem that the clutch tends to be a lot more 'juddery' when the engine is quite hot, the cooling fan comes on and it tends to improve. I change the brake fluid every 2 years and fully bleed the system but it always does it. Perhaps the clutch plate has just been on the way out for a long time, but it never slips/spins the clutch once engaged. Ive thought about changing the slave cylinder, but its quite expensive when its probably just the clutch plate disc. Anyone had a similar experiance? Are the clutch disc's hard to do on the Valver's?? Cheers

Hi guys, I want to fit the clear side repeaters like everyone else seems to have fitted years ago to there corrados. I see the standard side repeaters attach via a locating pin and spring clip type arangement. I was hoping that someone could suggest the best/easiest fit side repeaters available? Cheers

Well everyone associated with corrado's know the headlights are not the best at anytime. I have personally done the wiring loom upgrade on my car and it has improved things slightly. But I noticed that the light reflectors are starting to delaminate and aren't very reflective anymore. The question I have is does anyone out there know where the headlight reflectors can be purchased on there own without having to spend a small fortune on completly new headlights? V.W only stock the complete headlight or glass lens. Any help appreciated. Cheers
