  1. Just one thing after another, cost me £2300 to buy and have spent that again in less than a year. On the road and running well for about 8 weeks total in the last six months. Water pump, front disc exploded, supercharger leaking, clutch disintigrated, gear selection problems - no reverse, lamda related problems, wouldn't idle, wouldn't pull skin off rice pudding, crankshaft pulley worked loose(?)Got it back a week ago and the head gasket blew yesterday. Just lost confidence! Its GREEN. Jinxed?
  2. My G60 has let me down yet again :cry: When it is going it is superb and I want to continue driving a corrado for the ride and handling. Thinking about reliability I am considering either a 1.8 16v or 2.0 16v. Is there much between them? Would love a VR6 but cant really justify the running costs.
  3. Could you price the used front pipe please and let me know your contact details. I am selling the car and would like to get it roadworthy as cheaply as possible. Thanks, Ian
  4. Hi, My G60 exhaust is blowing badly from the flexi joint between the manifold and the down pipe. VW tell me that I must buy a new downpipe complete at £220 + vat. My question is: can the flexi be bought sepparately and if not can anyone point me towards a cheaper supplier? Thanks, Ian

    Update. Loss of power when starting from warm: Last weekend, had the usual power loss from warm, it cleared after a minute of pumping the accelerator. but this time the performance was about equal to a non turbo diesel. It got me home and back for the weekend and a trip on Saturday - 350 miles. Yesterday I replaced the blue sensor which has cured the new problem - back to normal - but this morning I suffered temporary power loss from a cold start for the first time, again for about one minute before it cleared. Help?????

    G60

    Having been a devoted Scirocco fan for 14 years I have just swapped my Scala for a G60. The Water pump was replaced just before christmas and shortly afterwards I began to get serious power loss after driving about 1/2 a mile. I found that pumping the throttle clears the problem, suddenly!!!! If I restart with a warm engine the problem starts sooner but resonds in the same way. Any ideas?
