A reat piece for a Corrado owner. All the original literature is in a large grey, stitched folio with metal corners and a press-stud clasp. Last MOT expired Nov 26th 2014. I had already garaged the car the month before that, October 2014, because there was the beginnings of a power loss when driving. I meant to get it looked at but, as is often the way with these things, I didn't find the time. I had it taken into the garage this week and they diagnosed that the start of the power loss was down to a small part of one the sparkplug heads detaching and entering the engine. The sparkplugs are out of the engine. This will need investigating and repairing by the new owner. After being stood, the battery is obviously out of charge. Prior to that everything on the car was working exactly as it should, including - the clutch, gearbox, pas, all electrics, rear spoiler, lights, heater, etc. The famously unreliable old-style heater matrix was replaced in 2011 by Volks Works with the newer, uprated heater matrix. And Volks Works also did the full timing belt kit replacement in 2011. The interior is in excellent condition with no rips or tears. Bodywise, as you can see, there is beginnings of rust on the rear arches, and also to a larger extent on the bottom edge of the driver's door, and obviously some minor dings. Time now to pass the great old girl on to someone else. It's rare these days to find a Corrado as standard and original as this - especially with the FSH, history file, all MOTs, etc - so for that reason I think it justifies her being put back on the road. But, if not that, then she is also a rich source of almost any and every Corrado part that you could want. ** For what it's worth, this is the Corrado featured on the Corrado Wikipedia page main image - and that's the first image I've used in the ad, taken, I think, in 2010, to show how she could look again. Well, I contacted someone on the forum that was breaking a 1.8 and luckily he had one, so I've bought that. Which means, unfortunately, that I didn't learn anymore about the possible compatibility between hoses on a 1.8 and a 2.0. I guess it's a difficult one to know unless someone has already attempted the swop, or unless someone with (or with access to) both types of Corrado does a comparison. Would the Bentley Corrado manuals throw up any more information on how similar or not the parts are? And thanks for the help.

Well thanks for looking, appreciate it. But mine's a 1.8 16v, by the way - not a 2.0 8v. So there might be diameter differences between to 1.8 hose and the 2.0. I think I'll have to measure the diameter of mine and then compare it to the diameter of the 2.0 hose that's advertised on Ebay.

Hi Thanks for the replies. The reason I asked is that I've seen some replies before suggesting there's no compatibility on these hoses between Corrados. Hi Any idea where to get a radiator top hose for a 1990 1.8 16v? I know the part is offcially unavailable. Also, is the part common to any other VWs? If I knew that then I could widen the search. Thanks.
