Hi, I used to buy my tyres from http://www.tyre-world.co.uk, which is still listed on google (blurb still mentions cheap tyres, etc). However, when I visited the site it re-directed me to another site called http://www.hica-world.com , which is a UK culture site (not the sort of place to buy tyres !!!). Does anyone know if the site is defunct or simply using a different URL ??? Cheers, Pete

Wouldn't it be good if some one produced a web site that automatically updated itself with the latest online tyre prices from the more popular internet sites such as http://www.mytyres.co.uk , http://www.tyre-world.co.uk or http://www.blackcircles.com ? I am sure that fellow car owners have, like myself, spent several hours trawling various web sites to see who does the cheapest tyres. People often post requests along the lines of "who does the cheapest tyres on the net ?", only to be told to visit site X, site Y, http://www.rip-off tyres.com, Joe's Garage in Outer Mongolia, etc. If I want a new fridge I can use http://www.pricerunner.com to see who does the cheapest. Try typing "tyres" into it and it offers you a selection of toys !!! (I kid you not). It would be nice if I could enter my tyre size and be informed which site currently does them cheapest, then I could spend the rest of my time enjoying my car. Still, maybe one day :) Cheers, Pete

Checked out the http://www.elitedirect.com site also for the 195/50/15's £55.16 + VAT + Delivery :( (Site doesn't mention how much the delivery charge is - you need to ring !!!)

Cheapest place for tyres I've found so far is http://www.tyre-world.co.uk (certainly cheaper and quicker than mytyres) Ordered 2 x Toyo's on the Wednesday morning and they arrived Friday lunchtime which was a bit of an unexpected, but very pleasent surprise :D I used to get my tyres from http://www.mytyres.co.uk, but I found them to be really slow and I've heard that a lot of their stock is actually unavailable and gets ordered in from Germany (takes about 1-2 weeks apparently) :( Hope this helps.
