How do you find the difference in fuel? are they much diffrent to drive then a 16v?

Oops I did post that yesterday, but couldnt find it this morning Doh, ha ha my raddo §6v I had went quite well for a heavy old lump, I'd love a vr but il see whats around and keep looking? Just curious as to what the 8v raddo's are like I want a fairly fast car, not to be blatting around tracks/roads, just one with a bit of poke, when loaded up, accelerates from junctions quick and can over take with ease, But fairly good on fuel I do just short of 200 miles a week £30ish pound a week in the 8v golf about £35ish with the raddo 16v Also why do people say welcome to the money pitt, I had no probs with my raddo, all electrics worked fine, just the rood rubber sills were perishing Cant beat that exclusive look of a raddo tho in your rear view mirror he he :twisted:

Ive had a 2.0 16v raddo, loved it sold it and brought a mk3 golf gti 8v colour concept, and am wanting to go back to the raddo, Just wondered what the 2.0 8v's are like, Want a late spec m/n reg, with lether or recaro's debating on the vr, but ££££££££ for fuel

I am paticulary interested in a possibly 225 BAM conversion for my 2.0 16v 94 raddo but am not sure what is involved and how much it is going to cost. Ive seen 225 Bam engines for sale with low good mileage go from £1200-£1500, Then it would be a case of how much is it to fit this engine into a 16v and what i am going to need for the conversion. New barkes/intercooler/gearbox/drivesharfts etc. Im in a position at the moment where I am waying up the pro's and cons of this. I love the colour, look and style of my raddo. Although it needs a respray and smoothing here and there. And an interior change(recaros/leather) And a new lump and I feel this will set me back best part of 10k. And for that I can get a M3 or a tasty 1.8 gti turbo. It is hard when we drive an exclusive car as a raddo. As no other car is like this but then im in a dilema of sell it and get a vr6 VERY HARD DECISION CHAPS/CHAPESSES.Been giving me a headache for some time now :mad:

Will FK SILVERLINES from a vr6 fit my 94 2.0 16v If so are they a direct bolt on job or is there any modifications needed Thanks Ken

I have spoke these fellas on the phone before back in the day when I had a 205gti and he seemed quite clued up and gave me an honest opinion, But insisted on changing my piper cams for kent cams.(which they are a registered dealer of).Which put me off because I got the impression he was only trying to sell and promote his own stock. I see they fettled with the rat look mk1 which belongs to PVW. Suppose a trip to these over the next week is due, As they are local Northfleet/Dartford way I believe.

Currently in the dilema of considering an engine swap vr6 or 1.8t into my 94 2.0 16v 9a raddo. Or possibly getting the 16v block tinkered with by RACE POWER MOTORSPORT. Any 1 had any dealings with these price wise/quality etc

Hello people toying with the idea of a possible engine conversion. Not knowing to much as whats involved or who is who in the dub circles. Which engine conversion would be best 4 my valver. 1.8 t either model 150/180/225 bhp models or a vr6 lump If any 1 can give me a rough idea as to how much a conversion is likely to cost me including sourcing an engine. And a list of components i.e loom,shafts etc Thanks people

Centre console surrounding the handbrake, has broke and does not sit right when the handbrake is up or down. The trim seems to sit up about 1cm or so. Any solutuions as to what has caused this people ?

Got a 94 2.0 16v raddo, car has standard suspension set up i.e shocks,springs,bushes etc (for now). Ive fitted a set of 17" Azev A 7.5j wide with new Avon 205/40/17 tyres. The wheel's were brought from off the forum. And I believe billingjahg60 ? had them b4 the previous owner and he tells me they were designed with correct offset. And with 4's up the rear n/s (passenger side) wheel has a tendancey to rub/scrape. The car sits like a 4x4 and is scrapping so I dread to think what the car will be like once I slam it on coilovers. The car is straight i.e never been recorded in an accident and shows no signs of being in a rear schunt. Is this common on raddo's for 1 side to rub ? Only cure I can think of is getting the arches rolled.Which I intended to do in the summer with a fresh coat of paint.

:D These look Superb, something diffrent and very classy I would consider these but have just purchased a set of Azev's. I would m8 definately BBS are lovely rims tho but these are also nice go 4 it
