This has probably been asked before, but what is the best polish to use to do a really good valet job? I have heard that Meguiar's Classic Gold is the best. If so, where is the cheapest place to source this from? Ebay? Thanks

Stroller replied to zerocool's topic in Suppliers Forum
Hi zerocool, Have you still got any of the HT removal tools left? If so, can you put me down for one please? Thanks -
Hi, Does anyone know where I can get hold of an HT Lead Removal Tool for my VR6? I believe it's made by Hazet, Part Number 1849-6. Thanks!!

Is there a list of recommended Bodyshops in the South anywhere? I am prepared to travel for a really good one, but south of the Thames would be ideal! I have a couple of suggestions already, but I am sure there is more information on this somewhere!! Thanks
-
Sounds great; Can you give me the details!? Thanks
-
Cambridge is possible, but really looking for somewhere south of the Thames?

Hi Guys, I have one or two pieces of body repairs that need to be carried out on my Corrado. I am based in the Surrey/South London area, but prepared to travel for a really good recommendation. Any suggestions? Thanks!!
-
Thanks. just checked the lock, and it actually has to be in the horizontal position. All is fine now!

When I operate the Central Locking on the Corrado using the key on the driver's door, the boot remains locked and can only be opened by using the key on it independently. I am sure that this did not use to happen, the central locking operating the boot as well. Can some kind person help me out please? Thanks!

OK, eventually got the jump start onto the battery terminals. It seems a very tight squeeze in the battery area. Left the car for fifteen minutes. The Alarm is now working, and I am getting ignition lights, but the engine isn't even turning over. All I am getting is a clicking sound. I have left the jump start on. Would it best to connect direct to the battery to ensure a better charge? What next? Thank You
-
Thanks Gavin. How long should I leave the jump starter connected before I start up? Stroller

Also, what about the Clifford Alarm that is on the car? Will a jump start damage this? Thanks Stroller

Thanks for all your help guys, I am now in the car. With regard to starting the car, can I use the Clarke Jump Start 900 that I have, or might that damage the electrics? Thanks Stroller

Thanks Gavin, Yes it is freezing down here and the car has been standing a while. I will try that tomorrow! Stroller

OK......I have the right key, and I can't get in through any of the doors. Anybody got any constructive ideas as to what I do next, please!? Thank You Stroller
-
Sorry, what do you mean by de-locked? I have tried the key in all three doors unsuccessfully........ Stroller

Hi, Well, what a nightmare! The battery on my locked Corrado is flat, so I can't operate the central locking to get into the car. Can I sort this myself, or do I need to get a locksmith in etc. etc. etc. Thank You Stroller

Hi, Some weeks on, still having problems with my Clifford alarm. I have taken it to Sounds Alarming in Wallington, who say that it is a sub-standard install...great! So I have to try and get my money back. I have been in touch with Directed Electronics, but they haven't been very helpful either! And just to cap everything, I have spoken to several Fitters (all VSIB approved) who say they wouldn't touch Clifford with a bargepole, saying it is a gadget or gimmick alarm, and that Cobra, Toad, Sigma and Laserline are all more reliable. How can it be so difficult to fit a good alarm? Stroller

Anubis, have you got contact details for Danny at MCM? Thanks Stroller
-
Thanks for all your input guys, it's much appreciated. I may have mised something here, but what are the contact details for John 16vG60? And what about Cornelius at German Auto Engineering in Portsmouth; that is straight down the A3 for me! Thanks :) Stroller

I am based in Surrey, but will travel. I am looking for someone who knows the Corrado VR6 inside out to solve an ongoing running problem that I have had for some time (engine cuts out, flatspot on accelerator etc). I have had several pieces replaced, but still have problems. From the forum I have picked up: 1) German Auto Engineering, Portsmouth (Cornelius) 2) Darren aka G-man (http://www.pitstopdevelopments.com) 3) John 16vG60?? I just wanted to check if there was anybody else really close to me before I contacted Cornelius, who sounds to be the business. [schild=standard fontcolor=000000 shadowcolor=C0C0C0 shieldshadow=1]Any ideas everybody?[/schild] Thanks Stroller

Andi, Thanks for the info. I will wait and see what happens when the new sensors are fitted. Sorry to go off topic temporarily, but did you get my PM and email about the on-going running problems that I am having on the Corrado? Thanks Stroller

According to my fitter the new Clifford ultrasonic sensors are all autoadjusting. He says that there haven't been any in the country and he is awaiting a delivery from Directed Electronics, hence the reson why they fitted the wrong ones in the first place. Not ideal, but I think I will let them fit the new sensors and see what happens before I start all over again! My sensor is not fitted centrally, but under the passenger compartment shelf, near to where the brain and the tilt sensor is. Andi, its nice to come across someone who has some confidence in the Clifford. I think the key here is that it is fitted correctly? Like you I live in sunny Surrey - Epsom to be precise! Thank You Stroller
