Got a 1989 Black 1.8 16v corrado. Don't really like the blue seats and brown dash/panels. Looking for black seats and door cards first of all. and black panel where handbrake and gear stick are. Any suggestions?

Got it sorted, turned out to be a dodgy hall sensor in the distributer.

Had a similar problem lately, turned out to be the hall sensor in the distributer. Just started swapping parts out of a golf GTi until i eventually found the problem.

My 1989 16v 1.8 corrado won't start. Turns over but just won't kick in. Checked the fuel supply - ok Checked the coil, when i turn the ignition i get 1 spark. I think the distributer, leads and spark plugs are ok. Have the alarm turned off. Car was going fine until one morning it just wouldn't start. Started the nxt morning but a week later same problem and hasn't started since. Has any one has a similiar problem or any idea what it might be. Really appreciate any help/advice :(

Need help with 1989 1.6 16v. Turns over but won't start. Happened a few weeks ago and when i tried it a day later it started ok. Was dodgy for a few weeks but still started, now it won't start atall. I've been told it could be the coil? The plugs have been changed recently. Any one any ideas what it could be, how best to find out exactly without having to replace parts unnecessarily. Also when car is cold (about first 10 mins after starting) if i accelerate quickly the car doesn't respond and starts jerking. if i ease off and accererate very slowly its ok??

Wing mirror glass and plastic mechanism that moves glass is broke. The mirror housing has a slight crack on it but its hardly noticable. My car is black and i got a second hand complete unit in red. I want to change the insides so i don't have to spray the red one black. Has anyone done this before? How easy is it to pop out the glass without damaging any parts? help greatly appreciated.

Got a new starter - sorted

My temp gauge was'nt working, i took out the instrument panel to see if there were any loose wires - it was all ok. I moved the gauge needle up with my finger - it gave a click and it has worked ever since This might be worth a try????????

I'm looking for seat covers, any suggestions?? Can't really afford to get seats re-covered - how much does this cost?? :roll:

Happened mine when going quickly round a roundabout, a few months ago. Chacked oil level, everything was ok and it didn't happen since

Problem used to initially happen only when car was hot but it then changet to when car was cold. Checked the starter solenoid and there is voltage going to it when i turn ignition. Have a ney starter ordered so hope it works. Thanks

Driving a 1.8 16v 89 corrado. Problem started 2 months ago, wouldn't start very seldom. Turned key and nothing happens. Problem got progressively worse. Now it won't start (only with a push) but when started it will start on the key straight after you switch it off, if you leave it for 5 mins or so after starting it won't start again. Has anyone else had this kind of problem. I think it's the starter but not sure :roll:
